Highland_Lover, the KY Ren faire site would be about 3.5 - 4 hours from where you're at! (It's in Eminence, KY) I love the site, and like RFP said, the music is great!
Wow! I'll be in TN in only 100 days!!! YAY!
I miss you guys sooooo much. Internet on the island still sucks so I can't get a good signal. This is my one post for the week.

OMG! i can't wait til Ren Fest! Hopefully i can meet some of you guys and gals out there!
80 days so you have just enough time to travel around the world and make faire. If you leave right now.
sixty days till faire.
It looks like I have convinced my Sunday School class to go (and in garb!). Anyone ever take a church bus to Faire!? ;D
What fun. What day will that be?

Probably the 9th, see if we can get as many people to go as possible. ;)
I'm working on my new garb now, along with hubby's. I'll prob end up making more for everyone else. I can't wait!
Huzzah! Wonderful! And a helpfun tibit, Goodwill and the Salvation Army are GREAT places to find pieces for basic pirate garb. ;)
They do have parking for buses. If you have an idea of how many are coming (# of kids, # of adults, total over 20-25?), it may be possible to get a group rate. If you call the office, you can ask about it.

Ya, I'm trying to get as many to go as possible. It will be a new experience for them! :o
59 days~!
goodness, it's hard for me to believe this will be my seventh year attending the fair.
Welcome to the forums.
haha thanks. I was on the old forums and then honestly forgot about them, but I'm back~!
In that case welcome back! Hope to see you at faire this year.
58 days and counting.
haha and thanks. I'll be there the weekend of the 16th!
Hopefully, I'll be seeing you guys this memorial day weekend....cross your fingers.
Looks like all is a go to make another trip down on Memorial Day weekend again this year!! We had such a good time last year and I'm very excited to come west again!
39 days 23 hours 11 min till the gates open.
Well, we're headed to Tennessee for our niece's graduation on the 18th. I'm gonna see if I can convince the spousal unit to leave Friday, spend the night in the Murfreesboro area, go the the faire Saturday, spend Saturday night in Murfreesboro again, and drive over to Knoxville Sunday. Heck, maybe I can even convince her to do two days if we leave before closing time Sunday. Hmmm....
Keep your fingers crossed for me!
That's a great plan, since Knoxville's only about what, 3 hours from the Boro if you drive the speed limit. ;)
I saw that advance ticket sales start up on their site online tomorrow, folks!

Dustin, it's a wonderful faire and the people are great! I highly recommend a visit, so work hard at convincing your wife. Once she gets there, she'll see for herself. It's a not-to-miss faire!
Can't wait until ticket sales start. Need to see it husband gets a job in MS to see how many to season passes to get. One for sure. I will go without him. Yea I'm just ruthless that way.

I don't blame you, I would too!!!! ;D
WHY ARE THERE NO TICKETS! =+) Website said they we're to be on sale today.
I am also counting down the days. I shall be there on Opening Sunday the 3rd most likely. I hope to meet a lot of people. Since I dont know many personally, if you see me hail me down. Thanks
Lord Sir Clisto of York
We are looking forward to meeting you, also, kind Sir. Just look in the pub, and you will find the M'Cracks.
I will get there for sure if Jeannie has anything to say about it. LOL..
Online ticket sales are now available! ;D
https://vs2.korax.net/~blaupunk/tnrenfest/ticketForm.php (https://vs2.korax.net/~blaupunk/tnrenfest/ticketForm.php)
Advance ticket sales end April 16 so get your tickets early.
Not a lot of savings getting them online I see. Normally $18.00 going for $16.00 but with a $1.50 service fee so they are $17.50, only a 50 cent savings. I know it basically saves time from standing in line.
The service fee is per order not ticket. So it saves on multiple ticket orders.
Oh, ok.. Then if you have enough it does add up. I misunderstood and thought it was per ticket.
Got my season passes ordered. Woohoo. Now to get everything ready.
our fluffy tail, this year we will be given thee a two year HUG, since we did not get the chance last year to do so. can not wait to see everyone at TNRF. only 25 days to go.
i be the Old Tinker and his Belle...
23 days until the fair opens, but I won't be there until the 16th. D:
Just a few more days to buy advance discounted tickets.
Still haven't bought mine yet. This might be the first time in a few years that I haven't got a season pass. I have to work more weekends now. And I've already requested off The last two saturdays in Aprill so we can vend at some other events. Plus I asked off for opening and closing days .
Reminder tomorrow is the last day for advance discounted tickets.
Hail everyone,
I posted this in the GA thread as wlel, but in case others don't read that one, here it is. I have a slight correction to make about my trip to GA and Tenn over the May 2-3rd weekend. I will be attending the Tennessee faire on Saturday instead of Sunday and the GA faire on Sunday instead of Saturday. This is how my good friends I am staying with usually do it so I wanted to correct it on here for all attending so we can still meet up. So, Please let me know if this changes things for some of you in getting together. Can't wait to see everyone. 16 days and counting... HUZZAH!!!
Sir Clisto

Amended
Thank you!!! I wouldn't want to miss anyone if I can help it.
I'll be there every weekend. Season pass is now in hand!
So do you guys usually meet at a pre-determined point/time?
Not necessarily, since not everyone can make opening gate or arrive at the same time...Most of us will be at opening gate I would imagine, especially the first weekend. There is an area just past the creekbed at the bottom of the hill on the right hand side approaching the gates that we tend to congregate at before the gates open.
We're all often found at the various musical offerings and at the Red Hook Pub, especially at Pub Sing at the end of the day.
I may be returning for Memorial Day weekend. The daughter wants to come but she has finals when I will be there Opening weekend. So..... if I can swing it we will be there closing weekend.
I will just be showing up at opening, taking pics and looking about for people. Depending on the weather, I should be in black velvet and silver trim with a metal collar of station about my shoulders and possibly my silver coronet on my head. Please come up and say hi.
it's hard to believe that next weekend is opening weekend! I hope everyone has fun and I'll see you on the 16th~!
So it turns out that I will be at Faire on the 2nd as well! YAAAAA!!! I get to go twice! :o ;D We have a friend that is a professional photographer and wants to take pics. Just look for me and two big burly guys with cameras! ;)
ONE MORE WEEK! 8) Can't wait to see everyone!
Just finished all my packing today. have only a few odds and ends left that i cant pack till Fri morning before I leave for the airport. But, I have 2 outfits packed as well as one sword. Of course that is extra on checkin. What can you do...
whooo hoooo! just a few more days!!!! 3 for me( kids day!)
Ok, forgive me for falling victim to the news but being prego, I have to take care of myself and everyone else...lol. PLEASE take precaution this weekend in regards to spreading germs. There are A LOT of us coming from a lot of different places and with this swine flu going around we really need to be careful. Bring anti-bacterial stuff...don't share drinks...wash your hands every chance you get...you know, all the crap your mom told you, lol. A bunch of us got sick last year and I think we should try to avoid that this year. :)
Can't wait to see you all!
Summer and I will be there this Sunday. :)
I understand there is going to be a really good chance of rain this Saturday in Tenn area. Hope it blows over. So far here is the forcast -
Saturday, May 2

Thunderstorm Probability: 60%
Mostly cloudy with a couple of showers and a thunderstorm

See you there on the 9th!
I'm coming from VARF to visit your fine faire on the 2nd. Any advice on the best pub? shows? shops? etc? In other words, where do all the cool kids play?
my favourite show is isaac fawlkes. he's a magician and always offers lots of laughs. he's the first place I stop every year.
Our large group will be there for the memorial day weekend. Approx. 10-15 of us this year. Can't wait... until then I'm catching a few more days at GARF.

One hour! I'm headed to faire.
Hope everyone's having fun on opening weekend~!
Wish I were there!!! :(
Soon....very soon!
Well, to satisfy my cravings just a little bit, we're going to a Renaissance feast tonight at the local grocery store. It's being led by the king and queen of our local faire. We're going garbed, just because.

Wait...that was mud?
I thought it was brown snow that appears in warmer climates. I think once you sink ankle deep in it, it takes on a differant term but I could be wrong.
Was a very good day despite the dampness and humidity and treacherous footing conditions.
I think we had the best audiance participation yet doing Black Velevet Band at P&S morning show. When the crowds rowdy before 11:00 AM...good way to start off on a positive note :)
:(
Sad to say my plans have been changed for me and unless someone really wants to kidnap me I won't make it this weekend.
:(
Well, I made it back to Wisconsin safely on Monday afternoon. I must say I really loved the faire and all the great company. It was nice meeting everyone. I am glad Mercie had mentioned the change in plans to me before I ame, otherwise I would not have made it with it being closed on Sunday. Thus, I did get to attend both Tenn and GA. Yes, it rained off and on for Saturday but not real bad. At least it wasn't raining when we arrived and when we left, so changing was nice. We were one of the lucky ones that didn't get stuck in the mud since we took it nice and easy without gunning the engine. It was also a pleasure finally meeting her Majesty after always commenting on her Ren Space page in the past. Thanks everyone, for making it an enjoyable time for me.
Now, I took quite a few pictures of each faire. I started working on my Tennessee ones last night at work and should have them finished sometime tonight. I missed getting some people I was going back for, so sorry if I didn't get you. Anyway, I will post again once they are up for vewing. Hope everyone has a better run for the rest of the season.

It was a pleasure to meet you, and I am looking forward to the pictures. ;D
On Sunday those of us at the wRenHouse were speaking of your good fortune in choosing Saturday to visit instead of the original Sunday, Sir Clisto! It was good to meet you, I'm glad you got to spend some time with all of us!
It was great to meet you Sir Clisto. I'm glad you made it Saturday. It would have really stunk to drive from ATL to find there was no faire.
By the way make sure you add TN ren on Myspace. They posted a bulletin about faire closing there.

It is mutual Peddelin, Lady Nicolette, and Renfairephotog. The pleasure was here as well. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. Miss you all already. I would very much like to come back again. At least it was not real bad Sat. I am sorry Sunday turned out to be a wash for all of you. I know faire is something we all look forward to doing and when one day is messed up it is a real downer. I am working on the rest of my pics now and should have them done for Tenn by Thurs some time. Again, I missed getting some pics of everyone I met and I feel bad about that since I always make a point to get them and post my new friends. So, please forgive me. I just hope the rain lets up for everyone there. I see there is still a constant storm through the area.

If anyone got pics of me in my new pirate frock I made, I would love copies. Mum was a bit put out when I told her I forgot to get one with my camera lol ;D
No need to fear my sassy pirate. I have 2 really nice shots. One full one of you and me and the closeup. I only have a few more to put up then both my Tenn and Ga pics will be done. I will post to it this afternoon. It was Sooooo.... nice to see you. It has been a long time. But it was great to see you with BIG smiles.
