Does this include Nyte??
I believe that Avalon and I should be able to make it.
Wish we could go,but I dont think Tod's leg would like that too much..unless the wheelchair shows up..then maybe..maybe.

I am really hoping I will be healed by then.
Man I have to work >:(
Being a Kilt Inspector, and as much as I love men in kilts, I will be up to my eyeballs in tu-tus and tap shoes this weekend. Maybe someday the girl won't be in dance any more, and I can attend the Scottish Fair again.
Have fun everyone!
Howdy,
I will be there too!
Love the scottish fair!
Do you have a web site? Would like to know the when and where......

Muffin in the beer tent..?? Nooooo!!! I'm sure I'll find you ;)
Kilt and no shirt? Mmmm... So much eye candy.....
The wife talked to Muffin this past weekend and she said we could go too. We'll play it by ear, but if we are able to be there we will.
Curses! I work that afternoon with a show that night. I shall have to pout at some point. Someone have a pint for me!
Muffin I had so much fun with you last yr but as the month was overflowing back in April I decided ti skip this but hope you all have fun!
Scottish Fest? Darn skippy I'll be there, with Gwen in tow. Do we have a certain place and time to meet?
I am hoping that Dan and I will be able to make it to this. We might even have Hannah out there for a bit with us... we will have to see what the ex has to say about it.

Wait 1 & 1/2? LOL thanks for the laugh Bacardi. :)
Hey quicky question does anyone mind if I bring ultrasound pics with? I though I might share if you'd be interested in seeing them.
I guess, considering I'm a Scottish Fair committee member, I'd better show up.
BUT...I'm also going to be celebrating my b-day (which is Wednesday), so somebody better buy me somethin' pretty. (no pints don't count-I don't drink beer)
GAAAA! Finaly I found the new forums! So...Scotch booth at 10:00 then?

They have a scotch booth?????????
Quote"They have a scotch booth???
I would say its more likely than a mead booth :)
Lets just say, for the sake of argument, that there is no scotch booth :( then where do we all meet up?
Beer Booth.. or wait no it's not a booth, I mean beer tent.... :D
McCracken Pub....
Yup.. My kind of place....
Soo, do we have to pre-order tickets or can we pay when we get there? Also, are they sticklers on flasks, or are we tailgating some Scotch? I just don't think it would be right to be at a "Scotish festival" with no Scotch. ;)

Thats what Im sayin'!
Looks like PC and I will be there...possibly with one or more of the Riblettes

Get your tickets there.......and I see and hear nothing the second part of the question... ;)
Cash may be important FYI. I can't remember really...but I recall it being important maybe.
For me this is strictly a buy it at the bar event. As will be all the faires I attend this year.

That's what hip flasks are for... ;)
regarding the Scotch issue, the fairgrounds will not allow us to serve it. They feel uncomfortable with the liability issues that hard alcohol might create. With that in mind...please to not let any board or committee members or the deputies see those flasks-you will be asked to leave...
but knock yourself out in McCracken Pub!
Yup.
Going to be fun Peggy!
Okay, we'll play nice. :D
Ladiedragon was talking about maybe showing up for a while. I guess we better look at getting tickets then. guess not
I am so going to do the caber toss...yup.
Little one. Small telephone pole.
or maybe the haggis toss?
Belly up boys. Money talks etc...

Simply eat that stuff and you're instantly a participant... ;D
We were thinking of doing a cameo appearance with our old group Clann Tartan, but Beth's fighting an infection related to her last surgery.
If this is the event I attended last year with Kael (had a marvelous time!), it was a CASH ONLY event with no ATM on the premesis. Now they may be getting one in this year, but the closest one last year was a couple of blocks away at a gas station.
Can someone please renmail me the site info. Seriously not myself these days. Can't keep track of much going on. Mike comes home Friday so I doubt he'd be up for a whole day out but the boys may want to go since they heard Kael talking about it so much last year. That'd give VV a chance to settle in a bit.
remember... wondering... come get me... thanks. ;)
http://www.mnscottishfair.org/
MG's correct there isn't an ATM on the grounds. But many of our vendors will take plastic and if you know it ahead of time and bring cash, you should be just fine.
AAACCCKKK!!
I just saw something that makes me not so excited to go...I'll still go...but...guh...I'm going to need backup.
Who volunteers to be backup?
I'll explain later.
You can hide behind my kilt Nes......Why do I fell I know what is up...
It is exactly what you think it is...
GUH! I can't go anywhere....
I will be Cooking the Meat Pies and birdies for the Scottish Fair and will be there from Noon to 4. Please Stop by and say hi and try a pie.
Gerry ::)
I'm sooo excited!!! ;D :D
Just got back from the doctors, I've got bronchitis. So no fest fer Toar this weekend. :( Well there's always next year.
IF I get there this year, it won't be until the very end. We'll be heading back from passing the young'in to the grandparents at the designated neutral zone . . . well the halfway point between here and there.
You all have fun and guard Harem_pants from whatever the issue is. :-[ :P ::) ??? 8) :o :( :D ;) :)

Synn/Toar:I can get masks and gowns for you guys from work and I'll get a bottle of spray foam for all of us.
:o wait do we the plague going again or still or whatever...... I so don't want the plague & what I have now.
i so want to go now that i got my new fly plaid grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....
maybe i dont need sleep like i think i do and should just go???
Sleep is way overrated Sleepy.
I swear I'm going to get that 300lb Cardinal that starts singing at 4:30am.
Will be in my primitive kilt. Just another Ken doll.
7am What to wear my great kilt? Which color? My trews? The musician's grey coat, plain grey coat?... :-\
Rapier or claymore... wonder where the scabbard is for the claymore...
Well, that was a blustery day for wearing a kilt. Not too often you see several hundred kilts go flying up all at once... :o :P
New Bodhran for me!
and Haggis!
Little of the Court Revelers....
and maybe a few new folk that will be joining the group.

We missed you...sorry you weren't feeling well. :(
That wind was something else! We had 4 of the 6 big speakers on the main field fall over. When the last ones went over 2 of us went out and set the others on the ground to prevent it from happening again.
I came home so tried I could hardly walk, but it was great to see so many friends!
If have photos that you'd be willing to share with the Fair, let me know we are always looking for new things to send to paper and use in the program or on the website. Of course, photo credit will be given where they are used.
