Greetings, all! GLMF was a blast on opening day. Great to see so many friends there and to meet many, many new ones. (I regret missing the morning tailgate!)
So, which other weekends will any of you be in attendance? At this point, I believe that Brogan (Michael) and I will be going on the 19th and/or 20th.
If any of you stayed in a hotel/motel/campground (cabin), please let me know where, and what you thought of it. We will be looking for somewhere to stay for at least one night, possibly two. We don't need anything fancy...cheap is good...clean is a must. One bed and a bathroom will suffice. A coffeemaker and/or a fridge would be an added bonus. Food nearby would be nice.
Look forward to seeing everyone again soon!

A/O, I stayed at the Howard Johnson's 7 miles up from Faire on SR534 just the other side of the interstate. The room did not have a fridge although I did not request one, it did have a coffee maker and they served continental breakfast starting at 6:30am.
I'll be at all of them.. Just look for the white priest robes!
I'm planning on missing one day this run: July 19th, because I'm splitting the weekend with the Cleveland Irish Festival.
Ann we will be there on at least one of those days. I am so glad you made it up to GLMF. I hope you did not find me exaterating when I said how wonderful it was.

After much back and forth and blah blah blah, Morwyn and I have been able to schedule our second jaunt to Avaloch this coming Saturday, 7/19. Celtic weekend. Then we'll be back on closing weekend.
I'll be sure to look for you. Michael and I are planning on being there both days :)

Mumsies-it'll be great to meet your mom. Our mom came along for her first visit last Saturday. She actually enjoyed the downpour.
Jumping into the shower and starting to get ready...Hope to see many of you in just a few short hours...
I will be driving down on 8/02, my first real faire :) Very excited. Also looking for a list of hotels in the area if anyone knows any. I will look into the one mentioned above.
As well, driving down August 2 to stay over and hit the Faire on the Sunday. Saturday as well, if we get there early enough.
Okay, another great weekend has come and gone...who will be attending for 26/27th? Mr. Mumsies and I are planning to be there. Decided to change our plans for overnights, drive up early Saturday, stay Sat and Sun night, take a day off on Monday....Makes it much more fun to have a chance to stay for the full day on Sunday! Well...Pirate Weekend has come and gone. To all my Sterling Family, it was wonderful to see you in Avaloch and I hope you had a good time! To all my Pittsburghian Family....as always, hanging with you guys is always awesome and Syrac and I totally kicked arse over at the Archery Range! Well done, my friend...should the Shire ever be attacked by marauding CD's and string....we've got the place covered!!! ;) To my GLMF Family....I love ya, maaaaaaaaan!!!!!
Hard to believe there are only 2 more weekends left....*sniff, sniff*...but there is always ORF and MDRF (and Pittsburgh if we can swing a day....)

I just wanted to take a moment and thank all of my wonderful faire friends. Scotsman and I were thrilled to have another chance to spend time with all of you. I for one had a fabulous time with such fantastic people. Too many to list individually but you all know who you are and how I feel about our friendships. I can not wait to see you all again in Ohio and if not there then at Pittsburgh and if not there then maybe PARF and if not there then hopefully my shire. Hugs to all!
Lady Guiness I know i plan on seeing you and Scotsman both at Revel Grove this year.Now the question is how much was Scotsman able to drink before GLMF closed last weekend.And also what will i have to do to get yours and Scotsman's signatures both?Any suggestion's? :)

Another great year at GLMF. to the Entire Shire of Avaloch...BRAVO!! Once more a warm and wonderful sense of belonging to an extended family.
