OPEN CALL - February 16th, 2013
The Tennessee Renaissance Festival is casting for its 2013 Festival. Actors will portray the townsfolk and nobility of Covington Glen, a 16th Century English Village. The Festival invites actors (18 years or older) of all types and experience levels to our Open Call on February 16h, 2013. Please come prepared to move; dress comfortably. Actors will be asked to participate in improvisational exercises and anyone wishing to demonstrate specific skills (character or theatrical monologue, singing or period musical instrument, stage combat, or other skills) may do so, though this is not required.

AUDITIONS
Date: Saturday, February 16h, 2013
Time: sign in from 9:00-10:01:45am; auditions start at 10am sharp

Note: Cast hopefuls are asked to be available both days, if at all possible


NOTES:
• We are looking for Peasants, Nobility, and Fairies; some cast members may also be in our in-house (TBA) Shakespeare production.
• Rehearsals are every Saturday and Sunday starting the last weekend of March through April. There will be additional rehearsals in February and March for fairies, stage combatants, and the Shakespeare cast. In addition, we will have specialty rehearsals as needed during the weeks leading up to the festival.
Please consider the time commitments needed for these more demanding roles prior to agreeing to you casting.
• Rehearsals will cover: guidelines on how to build a period-looking costume, character development, interactive and improvisational theatre, and language and dialect skills.
• Performance Dates are: May weekends plus Memorial day

New location for the cast auditions: Smyrna Bowling Center, 95 Weakley Lane, Smyrna, TN. 37167. Please look for audition signs for parking and entrance into the Smyrna Bowling?
