Title: Hobo Eclaires
Post by: Valiss on June 07, 2011, 08:45:06 PM
The next time you are camping at faire and wanna show off your camp cooking skills, check this out:

So you take a broomstick (clean and unpainted, of course) and rub the end of it generously with a stick of butter. Then take a square of Pillsbury crescent dough (2 perforated triangles together) and wrap it around the end of the broomstick, making sure that the end is sealed. Roast it slowly over the campfire until it's puffy and golden brown. Make sure you don't get engrossed in conversation and let it burn!

Once it's cooked, let it cool for a minute or so, then slide the cooked dough off the stick. Squirt a healthy dose of whipped cream inside, then drizzle (on top or inside) with chocolate syrup.

Omg, right behind you! *wiping drool off chin* Those look delish! Have the fire pit and the logs right outside, but no freaking crescent dough or whipped cream!! *crying*

Anyone in my area wanna make a grocery store run? ;D Can have the fire going when you get back.  :D

Yum. I may have to see how I can do that on a gas grill.

I'm trying to ... umm... assimilate the imagery on the website for the alcoholic whipped cream.  I was going to say that there was a considerable amount of innuendo there, but that's not right. It's blatant in-your-face sex, from the phrases to the container shape. Looks like they have both sexes covered....and everything in between...

I'll be checking the neighborhood liquor store...

Oh, how funny!!!  I actually had to search a couple of different sites to find the one you were talking about, Merlin... but you're right!  :o

I'm guessing the blond with the, uhhh... come hither expression... doesn't come with it, however.  :P  :D  (must be purchased separately, perhaps?)  ;)

I don't call that a "come hither" look. I think it's more of a ".... me" look...
