Today's it's official, as we announce the date for Scott Kelby's 2nd Annual Worldwide PhotoWalk⢠to celebrate the upcoming release of "The Digital Photography Book, Volume 3," and you're invited to be a part of this global, social photography event.
Basically, a Photo Walk is a free event where photo enthusiasts get together and walk around a pre-determined area taking pictures of the area. Afterwards, everyone goes dutch on some food and shares their pictures.
Layers magazine(great magazine for abode users) take on it http://www.layersmagazine.com/scott-kelbys-worldwide-photo-walk-announced.html
Hmm....nothing in Minnesota yet. ::) ;D
Nothing in Nashville either. They have one in Knoxville and one in Louisville. Louisville in near the Kentucky faire and that's final weekend.
Today was the official announcement. The people that led walk last year and twitter followers got early cracks at it. hopefully there will be a walk near by soon.
Thanks for posting this! I signed up for the one at the Houston Zoo! My birthday is the next day ;D
I signed up to be the leader for the Quad Cities Downtown Photowalk (http://worldwidephotowalk.com/davenport-ia-usa/). Sounds like fun!
I'm waiting for the information to be available for the Marietta, GA walk...it's under construction right now.
There are 3 other walks in Atlanta that are full so hopefully, I can register for the Marietta walk.
There is one in Nashville.
Looks like there is a number of them on Minneapolis now. I'll have to try to get in on one of these if I'm not working.
anyone go. I didn't but it was in the 70's today in July. it was a yard work day.
No luck here. Had to work all day. Maybe next year...
One of the 2 places we could sign up in Houston was either downtown (traffic and construction) or the zoo. Guess which I chose?
We got in at 8:30am, before the crowds at 10am, and before the heat was too unbearable. I had the smallest camera by far - I have camera envy! They were serious about this contest - the lenses alone were nearly 2 feet, sheesh! Was so peaceful in the morn ;D
