Hi folks! 81 Days til the cannon sounds for Sherwood!
And even though I will most likely only be making it out to Sherwood for Opening Weekend, I thought I'd go ahead and take charge of the list of folks who were planning on attending. I know we are all very excited for this faire to open its gates. Even though I have not seen the grounds with my own eyes, word of Rengypsy and all those working beside him has traveled to my ears and a few photos have even been found. This looks to be an incredible faire and I can't wait to hear and see all the wonderful things it has offer.
Please specify which weekends you are attending. If you're attending both days or only Sat. or Sun, please specify that.
If you're working, please specify which boothe, etc. etc.
If you're camping, please specify with/where!

I will be there every weekend, as a vendor. My booth will be Summerwood Soaps.
Every weekend, in the Tomato booth.
I'll be out camping opening weekend, but unable to make any other weekends out.
Rachel and I will definitely be there opening weekend, probably closing weekend, and hopefully a good 1-2 other weekends. We will let you know once it has been determined. Can't wait for opening!!

I realized a few weeks ago that managing a bunch of crazy partying people is going to really seriously cut into my partying time. I'll be bouncing from camping area to camping area to make sure everyone is happy. Just look for the sad looking old man with an empty mug.

Skip the party and take a run over to LARF this weekend to see how their camp manager keeps a handle on things. They have a great balance of good times and lack of stupidity. I realize that it's asking a lot to give up the dedication of the chapel and other events, but it is a good education on a system that works and gives you a weekend at a really good faire.

It looks like my renlet and I will be there for opening weekend, camping!
Once we have the GPS survey completed for the campgrounds, I'll post it here, so that folks will be able to see where all the groups have established claims. That way folks can state what group they are camping with.
December 12th weekend is close approaching. I believe this will be the weekend that I will get 100% of the reserved camping area reserved and marked off and some form of clearing commenced.
For folks who came onsite earlier and laid a claim without my being there, I will review your claim area and meet with your group leaders. At least one group mentioned plans on staking a claim in an area between two other groups that is actually a 40 ft wide barrier area and not subject to claiming. I promised physical barriers (brush) between groups and I will enforce this. There is also another large area that is the future Participant/Vendor campgrounds that some folks want to claim, that I will post as "No Camping" on this upcoming weekend.
My Lady and I will be there opening weekend and as many other as we can. We will probably be camping.
I + 3 will be there opening day, 2/27. Not sure if we'll attend Sunday depends on the temperature at night. We don't do well camping in the cold. But if we do decided to camp it will be with PR.
I will sadly miss opening weekend. Will be in the islands fulfilling a promise. I hope to be there every weekend after that. Dont know about camping as of yet. See you there.

we're only 45 minutes away, so the ONLY weekend I can think of we WONT be there is Sunday April 4th.
Dennis and I will be out opening weekend for sure, and probably every weekend or every other weekend working at The Emerald Merchant. (Sir Mitch and Lady Melissa o hEighnigh's booth). When we are there, we will be camping with PR.
And as you already know Meg, D and I will be getting married opening weekend in the chapel. Invitations should be in the mail the first week of January.

The Unseen Court has plans to met the first weekend and every weekend after that we can. We are thinking this is not too far a drive for us. We are very excited to see the rise of this new faire! Huzzah!

Camping ... pop ups only? Is this to mean literally only the pop-up variety of camper or to mean small campers only. Mine is not a pop up but is no larger than a pop-up ones it is popped up.

Just wanted to update that because of other commitments, the booth won't be happening this year. But we will still be there having our wedding on Opening Weekend.

If the winds are against you for Sherwood, perhaps they will be in your favor come time for Scarby. If not for Scarby.... well then there's gonna be a whole lotta folks in Texas that will be doin' what's necessary to make sure you visit us at TRF again! ;D One way or another we'll getcha! ;) ;D
Awww, Bonnie... you kinda rock, you know? And believe me, I will be there for Scarby!!! I've had the room booked for a few days now, and the budget is all worked out! I'll be there for TRF, also, although the budget for that is going to have to come from somewhere else, because so far I have no clue... but I got there last year, and I'll do it again! I'll be makin' it to Sherwood eventually, also, one way or another... :D

Man, I'm way more excited about Sherwood than I am about Scarby this year... partly because it's new, partly because of the camping, and then lastly because it's SO nice and close to Houston!!! That drive to Scarby is taxing!!! And then there's no night parties because there's no camping.... Not that I don't like Scarby, I'm just saying I think I'm going to really LOVE Sherwood!!

She is a captain on the Sheep and Goat Commitee. And she performs with the Rodeo Choir, they sing the Texas and US National anthems at different stuff.
Alas, Tiff is in full-on preggie-waddle stage and doesn't walk or travel well at the moment. Since the baby is due just a few days before closing day, I don't think we'll be able to make it this year :'(

I adore this festival!!! It was so much fun!! The belly dancing all night Sat, the really funny shows, the beautiful site, the great new booths with fun new stuff, and all the familiar faces made for an amazing weekend indeed!!! Due to many different reasons, we'll be back next weekend as well! We just can't seem to stay away... haha!!
My lady and I shall hopefully be there the weekend of the 20th and 21st. This is truly one of the most beautiful fairs we have seen. Wish we could make more weekends. Opening Weekend was such a pleasure to see old friends again and scratch that Rennie itch after several months of the mundane. Can't wait till the port has been improved enough to dock my ship in Sherwood Campground!
My older sister, some friends, and I were planning to be there for the 20th and 21st but had to change plans. I sincerely hope we'll be there on the 27th and 28th. Not only has my sister fallen in love with faires, I've fallen in love all over again.

I've been seeing many a familiar face (recognizing from forum avatars) around Sherwood! I've been a bit shy about introducing myself, since I've posted little here and I'd not likely be recognized. ;D But I have met a few of yall and I just love seeing everyone coming out, supporting the faire and adding to the community.

Whole family will be out Saturday with Roman reenactors. I'll be having withdrawals from my pirate garb, but I can be Roman for ONE day.
My husband and I are going to try to make it on Saturday. We will likely be in mundanes though.
I am thinking about coming out Friday night and camping, but at the moment I can't russell up anyone to come with me. Anyone going to be out there camping Friday night that wouldn't mind me throwing down my tent in their camp? Camping alone isn't half as much fun.
I will be out this weekend! Our first visit and I can't wait ;D
Will be a smaller group than I am normally trailing along, but with the holiday most were unavailable. Still going to be great! Hope to see familiar faces there
