Jurassic Park, The Lost World, and Eaters of the Dead (The 13th Warrior) among others. I have always enjoyed Michael Crichton's books. Very detailed and well researched. His family found (not long after his death in 2008) the completed manuscript for "Pirate Latitudes". It is a classic, swashbuckling, treasure hunting tale of adventure on the high seas. Crichton said that he always had an interest in pirates and you can tell from this book. If you enjoy the pyratical, and who doesn't, then you'll enjoy this novel. I thought it was good fun and an enjoyable escape. There is already talk of a movie...we shall see. Let me know what everyone thinks.
I noticed this book one day in a store. It's on me wish list!
I'll give a look-see... 8)
My Evil twin just finished reading this book! Fast paced good yarn! Good read! Drink rum while reading is her comment! Yo Ho!
I just started this today. So far, so good.
Just finished mine...it is a very fun, swashbucklin' book! Not Crichton's most serious or even his best, but a really good and enjoyable read...especially for us pirate fans.
I saw that book the other day but didn't buy it because I wanted to see some reviews first.
Now I think I am going to have to go back and get it lol
*Books that encourage drinking rum while reading are a pretty good idea to me*
