Don't deny it! We all have one. The one you gravitate to in your cupboard more than others.
So tell us about it!
Mine is covered in little green birds. In the middle is one bird in a sombrero and it says
'Juan in a million'. :D
any old cup will do for me, as long as it keeps the drink warm.
Mine is an oversized handmade mug, painted with a landscape and a chestnut Arabian horse.
Mine is actually a tall christmas tumbler mug. Its just white and on one side it says "Naughty" and the other "nice" this way I can warn my husband how I'm feeling early in the morning! :P
Plus its my largest mug so I can fit a lot of coffee in it!
My "Save the TaTas" mug. It's a matter that's close to my heart - literally :)
I have two actually - one Home, an' one Away.
Home - an old school white ceramic coffee cup that has me 'dane name an a sailing ship sillhoutted against a large orange sun. Mom got it for me in Port Aransas, TX when I was in my 20's.
Away - My ATF Ren Buddy, Mr. Julian Stone, 'as a large white ceramic mug with bears, umm..."hooking up" in various positions going around it. His 3-yr old step daughter asked him what the bears were doing - DANCING! sez he!!! So I always go for th' Dancing Bears mug when I visit them. :D
There can be only one.....
My constant office companion and holder of the Nectar of the Gods can be none other than my offical "Highlander" coffee mug that I got along with some other items when I ordered the TV series on video many years ago....
The one that has coffee in it.
A green "flecked stoneware" mug from the Black Hills Institute of Geological Research. It has an image of a T-rex skull on it...yep, geek.
Mine is an oddly shaped kinda squared off cup. It's black on the outside, and red on the inside, with the red just peeking over the top. It's a bit larger than most coffee cups in my cupboard, holding close to two cups of coffee. LOVE IT!
Any mug of coffee with whipped cream on top!
All my home "stuff" is in storage. *heavy sigh* My work cup has a raised b/w Tinkerbell w/lime green "Tink" underneath. Tink was my childhood nickname and so I have a large-ish collection of Tinkerbell mugs.
I have 2, at home it is one with my 'dane name that my Mom gave me 20 some years ago. At work it is my grey 1991 Scarborough Faire cup. It is older than a few of my co-workers.
my hot chocolate/ hot tea mug is this white mug with blue trim and in the middle of it sits a silver snow flake below it it says Let it snow it's my favorite
I don't actually have one, now that I think about it.
My most recent BLT (Blue Lion Tavern) mug. A limited amount of these are made each year and sold at the BLT after hours.
I don't have a favorite mug.
It is a Minnesota Renaissance Festival mug. From the 28th season. Dark blue lower part dark green upper. A knight riding a horse carrying a banner along with the MNRF info on it.
It is my favoritest mug ever. For a couple reasons.
I love it, and the color. And a friend bought it for me. In 1998 I took my bride to MNRF's Feast of Fantasy. Afterwards she was on me about the souvenir mugs we got. "We needed more like this". She couldn't understand that my mug collection and the memories from each and every feast meant a lot to me.
So my friend Marshal bought me the mug. He knew I liked it and the colors, but because of the wife I'd never buy it for myself. I've used it at work ever since.
Thankfully the wife is long gone. Thankfully Marshal will always be my friend. Thankfully I still have and use the mug he gave me.
It is nice to be reminded how great life is, when someone really cares about you.
Ferret
It is a plain forest green bowl shaped mug, but it is large. It holds twice as much as a regular coffee mug. My BF and his son make fun of my big mug. Then I remind them that I don't have to go back as many times as they do. 8)
I have 2, either my AF cup or my large cup with a flying eagle scene on it! ;D
Will a hot chocolate mug do? I have one that's black with orange-striped witches socks and buckled shoes on it...fun one. Also have a zebra-striped one here at work. Or the "Deadline, what deadline" (being an editor...LOL).
Marga
It is a hand thrown mug made right here in the Kakalakees... the colours are a muted rainbow. Mad Jack wanna trade for a day???
This is my favorite coffee cup...refilling it now as we speak.

My work one (until I recently retired from the Corps) was a regular sized white mug from my time with the OKC Intermural Pistol League. I never washed the inside; it became quite stained, and quite the topic of conversation of all non-coffee drinkers (they didn't understand the patina). At home, we have a set of ceramic dishes we bought years ago that came with oversized mugs (holds about two normal mugs of coffee). Heavy ceramic, plain white with a blue stripe around them.
HINT: If you ever go on a cruise, bring your own coffee mug along. It will hold more, and you will always know where you set it down.
It's one that says "Stress:The confusion caused when ones mind overrides the body's natural desire to choke the ____ out of some idiot that desperately deserves it." I've had it since college.
A hand thrown mug purchased at the Dubuque Renaissance Faire in 2008. The bottom is larger than the top, and there are swirls made by fingers on the side, on an angle.
The mug is a combination of purples, blues, pinks, and some white. It is beautiful. I looked at the potter's work for a full day on Saturday. When I went back the next day with Steve (he worked on Saturday, so I went with friends), I kept looking at it every time we walked by, and finally he said, just buy it, so I did.
My fave coffee mug is any of my old MNRF mugs from my friend. When he died, his wife was going to throw them all away. I convinced her to let me "hold onto them" for their daughter for when she got older. Now, whenever "The Gang" comes over, we all grab his mugs, be it for coffee or bee,r and toast to a dear departed friend.
Well, I don't drink coffee, but my husband thinks it's hilarious that I drink Earl Grey Tea out of my oversized Harley mug. That's my fav in the cabinet.
I drink tea out of a mug too. Both mine have cats on them! PURRRFECT!
Tough call . . .
I have two. One is a gift which shows my wife and I, in Civil War garb, at a Regimental Ball which was one of the first things we ever did as a couple. The other is a cup I stole from my office in Berlin where I was the Senior Defense Counsel for US Army Berlin and the Berlin Brigade. It was one out of the mess hall and was originally issued in the 1970's. Plain cup with "US" on the bottom.
My favorite coffee mug is cobalt blue glass with yellow stars and moons on it. Got it at K-Mart many eons ago.
My other favorite is a white mug with a funny pirate picture/with hook that says, "Dead till I gets me coffee."

You have that one too? I love it. It's chipped, stained, and faded by now, but I still love mine!
Mine says "Why be a Queen when you can be a Goddess" and on the inner rim..."You may still call me Her Royal Highness"
I have a rough-crafted ceramic mug that says, "MacIntyre" with the clan crest on it. It's large, too.
Funny, I don't have a favorite. Some are gifts, so I choose one because that person has come to mind, and some are seasonal, like the ones with the beautiful fall leaves on the inside, and there is the huge big green one when I want a huge cup of tea to settle down with.
I do have one that belong to Anna. It's only used when I'm dressing for faire. It's cream porcelain and rimmed in rose pink, with a single long stemmed rose painted on the outside and the words inspring painted on the inside with two tiny pink hearts. Silly and romantic. :)
I have a large collection of coffee mugs from a lot of banks, some of which have closed.
I have three I would classify as favorites. One is an old Special Forces mug. The other, at home, is a copy of the Second Class Passenger coffee cup from the White Star Liner Titanic. At work, I drink out of the latest Maryland Renaissance Festival coffee cup, which is always a miniature of that years beer mug...I change it out every year.
Cheers!
A big ole colbalt blue Starbucks mug.
My favorite mug is a white ceramic mug with a little lizard climbing up the side. It's got little footprints carved out of the side of the mug where the lizard climbed up. And the lizard has a piece of the mug in its mouth. I like this mug so much, I don't want to drink out of it anymore for fear that I'll break it :P.
