Title: Leather workers out there?
Post by: bran_gray on January 26, 2010, 08:18:24 PM
Any of you leather workers know where I can go to get some good quality leather for crafting purposes?

We have goats on our farm but I don't think I could bring myself to skin one (despite their Houdini like escapes at least once a month).

I usually buy my leather from Tandy Leather.

I know the topic might be a bit dead, but hey, I just found it! Tandy Leather/Leather Factory are going to be your big venders. Seigle of California, Springfield Leather, Hide House and Hide Crafter are some others are out there. If you have a business liscense, Weaver leather is good too. www.leatherworker.net is a great place for how to's and another great place to network.

  hope it helps!

Depends on how much leather you're looking for, and what type. If you want just a small amount of tooling leather, look here:

Otherwise Tandy is your best option.
