:D :D :o  Yes we keep growing and our group is nameless at the time...as we have all kinds of personalities, some reserve, some not so reserve and a few parents with critters.  Our grand critters came last year with their dad.  We have a good time, and the group keeps growing.

Not sure when we will be coming up to TRF this year. Michael will only be 3 months old so we will probably be coming sometime when it cools off. We will be coming to camp BUT not camping. I updated the going and camping numbers for each weekend.  If it says "ish" it's because there's a clan/crew listed there and I don't know how many.

Also please look at the list and let me know if I can change any "maybe's" to "for sure's".

I'll be there most weekends as Poster Girl for Sound & Fury on the Odeon Stage.

Milord and I plan to be there, most likely every Saturday and all 3 days of closing weekend. We're most often at Royal Rubbers (#262) or Cast in Bronze, with mead or some kind of liqueur never far away  ;) .

Ryk Rakham and Jezz the Belle plan on attending with a group of about 20 from our area on All Hallows Eve weekend and then back down for the final two days during Celtic Christmas....thanks for taking on this chore Lady Jessica, we hope to see you again this year, and everyone else!

I'm in Florida through January, but I'm going to try to grab a weekend off from work to come in for TRF. No guarantees of when or even if I'll be coming though.  :-\

We plan on being there every Saturday and all Thanksgiving weekend barring really bad weather.

If things work out Lady Bear and I will be camping with the QOH from Scarby at least those that will be making the trip.

I'm sorry, due to my dietary restrictions none of my necessities meet those requirements. However please keep in mind that there are two distraught young women at the Sea Devil that may die of dehydration if I do not supply their needs!

I'll be there opening weekend, both days! YEA!  ;D

I'll also be doing other days during the season, but no hard dates
set yet on those.

I am going to be attending your wonderful faire for the week end of Oct 25 & 26.  I have wanted to be able to do this for the last several years, and am very excited about it working out for me this year! 

Lady Jessica, please add 2 to your count for All Hallow's Eve festivities!!

Ok I've got the list updated to here but please if you are camping let me know so we can make sure to save you a spot.  If we don't know you're camping with McLotofus there may not be a spot for you near for the bigger weekends.  Oh and vendors / workers if/when you can let me know where you are going to be or which booth number you'll be in.

Just in case you don't know, I'll be at The Pirates Cove (BOOTH # 517) over near the Odeon Stage.. Or should we say that the stage is near us??? I mean, there are times when WE have a bigger crowd around us.

You actually work in that booth? Really? Seriously? For Money?
Just kidding. For those who dont know Dragon, you really should stop by his shop for a visit. One of the best shops at faire and Dragon is just darn entertaining all by hisself.

Toki and I are looking to invade from Colorado most likely Oct 25th and 26th. We may change our mind and shoot for closing but as it stands All Hallows Eve is what it looks like. No Camping. We are trying to find 2 more from Colorado to join us and help with gas. but even if we don't we plan on being there.

I am going to try and attend at least one day opening and closing weekend (most likely the Friday).  I also hope to make it up at least one if not two weekends in between open and close, but not sure when.  I am really looking forward to this season.  So keep an eye out for me I am easy to miss in a crowd  ;D

As long as it's a crowd of Bigheads, we might miss you. Otherwise just look for the tallest thing that doesn't have leaves..... :D

My family of 4 will be camping the first weekend (dont know what area yet)
Hubby and i will also be there pirate weekend for King's Feast then the family again on Celtic Chrismas weekend.

I should be at TRF (but not camping) on the Halloween weekend and Thanksgiving weekend. I can't wait!

I'll be on pyro crew with the other flametards.

A change, Ryk and Jezz the Belle will be there on Pirate Weekend instead of all Hallow's eve weekend.

Clann Dochartaigh has decided to attend Highland Fling instead of Barbarian Invasion. There will be 6 of us camping. We just couldn't stand to be away from our kilted cousins...

FYI, the POW Pub is right next door to the King's Feast and Wine Tasting. If you walk into the faire and take the left fork, keep walking down the lane for a bit, it'll be on the right hand side.

I work in the Performance Company, so I'm gonna be there every w/e.  Unlike most Perf.Co I am not assigned to a specific area (except the Ent.bldg) but I'll be at most major events most of the time.

He's always late for EVERYTHING, and is damn near impossible to find. Your best bet is to sit around the "watering holes" or any area where the Faire Bunnies gather. He's bound to show up!

We lucked out in Tampa at BARF. Day 2, he wore the BRIGHTEST shirt I had EVER seen! We could spot him out of a crowd from across the faire!

YAY!  I finagled another weekend!  My husband and I will be camping with McLotofus for Pirate Fling, and bringing another couple with us.  She has been a lady-in-waiting of mine for years, but it's been several since she's been to TRF.  HE's never been... let's initiate Sir James fully...

 With luck- I shall again make every weekend! You can find me at the Prince of Wales for the parade- or at opening- Other than that- I am all over and don't stay in one spot too long! Wizards are like that!  Not camping- alas!

New to the forums, not new to TRF or camping.  Our group will be camping this year on opening weekend, hopefully in our usual spot, which is close to where they put the 'quickie mart' last year. 

I'd love to meet some new people that weekend!

Looks like the wife and I will be hitting up fair opening weekend, and All Hallows Eve weekend (so far that we know... November plans TBD) - camping with the Celtic Rogues.

My group and I will be down for certain on 17-19th camping. We're not quite sure where we'll be at exactly, but generally we tend to choose near the back road close to the tree line. As we've had a massive group change this year as well, we've no name for our band o' Elves and other fantastic beings yet.

I'm planning to drop out of the sky on opening Saturday......but that can easily be pushed off by other committments, so crossed fingers.

Its the whole safety factor since Michael will be almost 3 months old. The camping thing is a big IF Heidi is afraid for the baby. Someplace safe.  ;D

We're looking at camping with friends the first weekend in Nov.  Also, I'm hoping to go with family on the Friday after T-day.  None of this is set in stone, the new house, Ike, and the Galveston refugees staying with us are putting a dent in our budget...

 I just got the MeowMobile all tuned up and ready to make the trek to TRF. I should be there most weekends- except Pirate weekend. I will be generous and let my Evil Pirate twin sister steal- er borrow my tickets and car for that weekend.

I will be there October 18th and 19th by myself, with a friend, or with my brothers lol.  We don't know quite yet.  I will be back either Highland Fling or Thanksgiving weekend with most of my family.  Probably looks more  like thanksgiving.

Well diva, I work at the faire, so I'll be more than willing to hang out with you- on my break that is LOL.

Sadly... It looks like Toki and I will not get to come down this year. I will be out of a job come Oct 16 and we both feel the money we have would be much better spent on bills coming in during my un-employment. And to top it off we just had to buy 4 new tires on your main reliable vehicle which wasn't cheap. Having tires to get around this winter is a must. You never know when a huge snow storm will hit Colorado this month.

If by next year I have a job and have managed to keep up with out falling behind, We may try to go to Scarbourogh and maybe TRF at years end.

We hope you all have much fun and we both really wish we could make it down, but sadly we cannot.

Ours would have been 4 months for her first trip, but alas I was out of town on business and we were unable to attend.  So at 15 months she got to experience her first camping trip at TRF.  Our group is very kid friendly - Though ours is the only kid currently.  You are more than welcome to pitch in with Clan Procrastination.  We are just around the corner from Mclotofus.

It's Wednesday night. Trailer is almost packed. My dogs know something is up when the trailer is in the driveway and they go to the kennel for the weekend.

I won't be checking any boards in the morning, as I have a bunch of things to do before I hit the road to pass through Houston just after the 9 AM rush hour. If you see a gray Ford F-250 hauling a MaxLite trailer going up I45 up to SH1488 around 10 AM, honk three times to say hello.

I'll be around row 2 or 3 along the road.

Doubt I'll sleep well tonight. Probably get up early to finish packing. I hope to see ya all this weekend.

Lord Randolph's chain mail booth will let you wear there Chain mail from opening till about 3:30 pm Sat and Sun. All you have to do is go up to the shop and say I would like to wear some of your fine Chain mail today and they will tell you the rest. (you have to leave your ID with them the whole time.) You walk in the parade with them and then come back to the shop for the rest. It is alot of Fun I have been helping out and doing this for about almost 10 years I think, It is so much fun!

The show is not in any programs it is simply something that Lord Randolph does because he can. So come watch and cheer us on right after the parade.

Oh, also, immediately after the show all of the dancers file down to what is called the Naked Tree out in front of the shop for a Photo Op. Quite a few hang around for that as well.

(FYI. I think this year might be different due to some of the fairs now having a week or so before TRF now because of Thanksgiving weekend pushing fair back, but normally first weekend dancers is reserved for those who own the Chainmail they dance in. Lord Randolph has part of his inventory at another fair or in transit to TRF and does not have enough to dress everyone and still have product.)

Viewing angles, shall we say, vary. But for that shot above? I've actually gotten a compliment for it from someone who thought it was a set, not a telephoto snapshot.

(They were posed for a photographer that they were facing, I took my shot from the side).

Last year, we went by that shop right after opening one day, and a nice older lady was showing me some hip jewelry.  She then asked me if I would be in her fashion show later.  I had no idea what she was talking about - now I do!

I wish I were brave enough to join in.  I wear some racy outfits (Ha! see my avatar), but it's mostly a thing between Lord Scott and I (S/O).  Of course, others see us as well, and it's always flattering to have someone want their picture with you, or to get hit on by some drunken (obviously) young varlet 10 years younger than you ( ;D ), but to actually do as E of A said -

Question - would there be anything you could model for them with your garb still on?  I know that sounds like a kill-joy sort of attitude, but the garb I'm thinking of is murder to get on and off, and to be honest, it doesn't leave a lot to the imagination as it is...

Of corse, you can always wear more garb under the chain and with the chain, here are a few links as the images are going to be too big and many to show you how clothed or unclothed you can be for this.

Also if you go to Randolph and tell him that you still want to wear all your other garb as well as the chain, he will find something for you that will work.

I have a lot of people showing that they are camping I only ask that if you are camping with McLotofus PLEASE let us know.  Also please check the first page to make sure I have you down right as well as I have you showing as camping if you are so we can try to hunt you down out in the campgrounds.

Ranglok and the Dragon Caravan will be camping over the Nov. 22nd weekend (or at least Friday night). Most likely we'll end up in the family camp area :P unless it sounds like the regular grounds have settled down some.

This sunday will be the first time I've ever been to TRF! Lol, you are correct.  That should be OCT, not NOV.  Yikes.  That would be a bit of a difficult explanation to the cast.

Well, fart-a-doodle-do!  I blew out my knee last weekend & am still in whoa! Nelly! that hurts land, so will have to forgo this coming weekend.  I will be there for Pirate weekend if I have to saw the offending joint off w/a rusty blade!

Just as a note to everyone that's going to be there this weekend.. "amaya and friends" now has a name for themselves as a campsite. Look for the Hand-painted banner that says quite simply.. "greencoaties"

That'll be us. Fairies and elves abound in camp greencoaties. We're hopin' for somewhere around rows 6-8 with a bit of tree coverage. We'll have a canopy set up as sort of a gypsy lounge with oversized pillows and music, so anyone here feel free to stop by!

Our little band will be visiting the 25th and half of the 26th.  I can't wait!  We will be staying with some friends of my hosts. 

There is a chance I might be there on Saturday.  It wasn't in my original plans, however I have nothing going on this weekend otherwise and don't want to just sit on my butt all weekend.  With the weather looking to be good (although I would prefer mostly cloudy or overcast) it is going to be hard to stay indoors.

Baldr shall be pirate hunting this weekend.  ;)

Baldr's entire Barbarian Horde will hole up the entire weekend in a bit of land near fire and mead. Should be a wondrous weekend indeed. Herger the Joyous shall be returning from northern lands to once again join the horde, as well as John Sir Chaos and a couple of newbie friends.

I must be weary though, it appears Freyja is joining with the murderous pirate scum and even presented herself as a pirate last weekend. Though I did not here many complaints.  ;D

I shall be there on Sunday. What other way to celebrate your birthday.

I'm working the faire! I'm the sample Pirate right outside of the Kettle Corn Booth, there all weekend every weekend (unless there's changes in plans, of course XD)!

Drat, the plague, (flu), has taken hold of our household and instead of using our vacation time for Pirate Weekend at fair it is being used up by the plague.  Just our luck, taking vacation time when we could have used sick time!  Grrr!  Stupid flu!  Looks like we're not going to make it to TRF this year :'(  Stupid flu.

AWWW.. I remember last year I came down with strep throat a week prior to Faire... I kept downing Tylenol and antibiotics and was a wonderful actress as soon as hubby hit the door home from work, because I knew if he had the slightest incling I was that sick he would have called the trip off.

After all was said and done he told me he knew I was sick?! He just admired my determination. LOL

Perhaps you will be well enough to attend by the weekend? (one can hope)

I know it's likely to be slow compared to most weeks, so I'd like to know if anyone is coming out to the McLotofus area. If not, I'll be staying in tent city for the security of my goodies staying put. I may just stay at tent city anyway, not decided yet. If the group is big enough, I'll go to playtrons, so speak up!

I'm  working in booth number 161 Imaginarium galleries. Its just inside the front gate to the left. Right next to the dragon slayer... you know... were the ones who sell dragon puppets ironicly enough!

And lo, we are on the ground in beautiful Kempner, Texas, drinking beer, petting a friendly border collie,eand planning our faire expedition for this weekend. Lookng forward to be there!

Thanks for the sympathy Taarna :)  We spent our vacation time in bed, (and not in the fun way).  Hubby had pneumonia and was put on mega medicine, while I being the more healthy had to stumble about caring for the both of us.  Needless to say the day before going back to work he began better. ::).  Perhaps we'll see some of ya'll at the Louisiana fair? ;)

MADE IT! Finally, yesterday....though there were times even yesterday when I had my doubts.

Got there early afternoon, partially in garb (couldn't figure out how to wear the wrap pants, maybe another time), partially in the standard time traveling outfit. Hat, L/S muslin shirt, llama wool parka worn as a cape until the sun set, then as a parka, tiger skin bag for the cameras, leopard bandana around the time displacement device, bush hat with sides up ..... and black jeans, cowboy boots.

Shot those few hours entirely on DSLR ...... so the picts should be up sooner. Some great, some not so good (and you won't see those). Afraid no parade or Lord Randolph shots this year, missed those unfortunally.

Got to meet more people and got to get more into. Even had someone who wanted to get a picture with me, people touching my cape.

New change in where I'll be and the likes.
I am now just a Kettle Corn pirate in general, working as a Hawker now, so when your in Sherwood, look for me with my big Kettle Corn stick!

My area is from the Mud Show to Falconer and Castle Stage.

And it came to my attention that nobody knew my face here, so here's a quick picture (a friend of mine randomly sent this to me? If it belongs to anyone on here, thanks XD!)

 I have not missed one TRF weekend in 2 years. Alas!  The TRF plague has me down- but not out. Sadly I feel it is wiser to lay low here this weekend and get over the bug.I had even made my little Familiar Tachi2, Scots garb.   See you all next weekend! I hope!

Queen Bonnie I have seen you on these forums and fluttering to and fro at faire(s) for the last few years and have never had the opportunity to meet you!  I do hope to remedy this 'recognize in passing' phase before this faire is over for the season. :)  Now that our son's Saturday morning sports activities have come to an end I will make an attempt to be at the POW on time when I know you are going to be here.

I am so excited! This weekend will be my first time at TRF!  And I found out Monday that my bf (Sir Reginald of Scarby royal guard) dad (Sir Matthew of Scary royal guards) got me free tickets for both days.  Yay!  Considering I'm a poor college student, heh.  I cannot wait.  Though I hear I'm going to be quite embarrassed running around with some of bf's cast friends heh.  I am so ready for it though!

Dennis & I are camping with McLotofus Thursday the 27th to Sunday the 30th.  We will have the pop-up.

Saturday the 29th, the group is attending fair but will not be camping.
