Title: I Actually Did It!
Post by: Dinobabe on March 05, 2010, 08:39:12 PM
I purchased the coolest thing this week, an EMBROIDERY MACHINE! :o  Check it out.  If you are looking for a great deal this is the one.  Already half the price of HSN and another $150 off with the limited time offer.
http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11522960&search=embroidery&Mo=1&cm_re=1_en-_-Top_Left_Nav-_-Top_search&lang=en-US&Nr=P_CatalogName:BC&Sp=S&N=5000043&whse=BC&Dx=mode+matchallpartial&Ntk=Text_Search&Dr=P_CatalogName:BC&Ne=4000000&D=embroidery&Ntt=embroidery&No=1&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Nty=1&topnav=&s=1

I made these today.  The golden pirate ship took me four hours, redid it three times. ::)  The skull took 10 minutes, go figure.  A bit of a learning curve but turns out to be very easy to use.  I LOVE it!

Have fun!  :D

Those patterns look like fun to play with.  Did it come with digitizing software so you can make your own patterns, or is that a later purchase on the Christmas wish list?

Those two designs I took straight from the internet.  That was the closer for me on this machine.  It's a package deal, ALL of the Singer software is included!  I just couldn't beat the price and I figure I can make back the money on selling stuff. ;)

Nothing! :-[
This past weekend was the first really nice one we've had, 65-70, so I spent it outside! ;D
This is a super busy week for me at work but I hope to really crank some stuff out this weekend.  I want to play around and see what I can do.  Any requests you'd like to see?

So I spent the weekend playing and have learned a few things...

1. Jump stitches can be a major pain.
2. Some images just aren't meant to be embroidered.
3. And this machine ROCKS!

I made handkerchiefs to try designs, here are some of them.
I also decided that these would make awesome faire favors!  So look for them at TNRF!
