I am looking for a patten for the hat ( A Chaperon) pictured below.
I have only found one pattern on the net... which isn't much use as for a rank ameture such as myself it lacks detail such as material length, mesurments and requirements ..
If you know of a better pattern I would be most grateful.
It is for a herald costume, (circ 1400-1500) H/R is possible or close appoximation.
Also any patterns to make the following "bag" would be helpful too..

The ladies have already posted a good suggestion, so my input is one of clarification: the link under the picture points to an ebay page selling unrelated items to your post, which is confusing. Did you mean to post a link to your own wares? That seller does not appear to sell hats.
No she was looking for a pattern for a pouch like the one on ebay there.

Randwulf's patterns are easy to use. Be aware that you need to double check measurements before cutting as they may run a little smaller than what you want.

Now the hat- the hat is a rolled up hood face opening on the head with a liripipe that makes the extra dangly bit, as well as the neck portion flopping over the edge. The pattern for the hood can be found in Period Patterns classic Cotehardie, (http://www.mediaevalmisc.com/pp21-23.htm) which is not a pattern for a beginner.
Mistress Cynthia explains this hood/hat and gives instructions for making it here. (http://www.virtue.to/articles/hoodlum.html) You will notice the minstrel in the etching is wearing the hood rolled up into a hat in the same manner as your photo above.
Essentially, the hat is a circular tube, about 3" thick, with a hood with a long tail worn face hole on the head, collar out the top, tail wrapped around the chin. You can approximate it with a roll, then a very large circle, the head circumfrence cut out somewhat off-center. cut decorative edges around the outside, and tack the inner head circunfrence to the roll. Arrange the folds to one side to suit you. Felt or wool works well, though for stage work, I've used poplin to good effect. The circle of fabric can be anywhere from 20" to 40"... (I might suggest the wider circle to accomodate the dagging..)
As for a book with this pattern in it, the Kathryn Hoelkboer (sic?) theatrical patterns book is a good source, as is From the Neck Up, An Illustrated Guide to Hatmaking by Denise Dreher. Good gridded patterns with lots of designing room...
Here are some links I have for the Lirpipe, which is the Chaperone, however the one from the site you have? Has put in a big huge bundle of something on the head and it is not quite right. I think they are looking at the hood part of the lirpipe rolled up to fit onto the head if you can understand that but the last link I have will show you in detail.
