Which day do most of you visit if you are only coming on one day per weekend. I usually do one day for the first weekends then all 3 over memorial day.
I believe the Order of the Orange crew will be up there the Weekend of May 22, week# 4.
Look forward to seeing everyone that we can.
21 days till. ;D
Not sure if I'll be there Opening day but have my season pass for the rest of them.
May 1st has my presence requested for free comic book day as well as a friends wedding....but I wanna be at FAIR!
Still trying to make up my mind....
19 days till opening cannon.
We're only going to be able to come down for one day and have decided on May 1.
Hope to see some of you there.
I'm running my own countdown on my blog. http://renfairepictorial.wordpress.com (http://renfairepictorial.wordpress.com) It's 25 for 25 years. It doesn't cover every year of the festival just the years I've been photographing it. I'm trying to give a glimpse into the faire.
hi ya'll!
i am not on cast this year, but will be reprising my noble bit on may 2nd as a playtron! look for me in gold and burgundy! ( and lots of pearls!)
i also got roped into doing the cast booth at least three weekends. ( yeah, yeah, RFPotog!) i will be diown by the lemonade stand( i thnk) near the joust field as fea or elf. not sure which yet! please say hey if you see me, as i dont see too great!
I will coming down for the second time; Memorial Day weekend for all 3 days. Unfortunately, due to my work, that is all I can squeeze out. Not sure if I will be guest cast again as last year; either way, can usually find me near the cast's French Ambassador and his wife; since they are who I am coming down with ;) Unless of course Her Majesty "suggests" I escort her around the grounds. I am not hard to spot; although the hair is a bit shorter than in my picture; thanks to an overzealous stylist who shall not be used by me ever again.
See everyone in several weeks!
17 days.

ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW
Dir. Jim Sharman/ 1975 / USA / 100min / digital with local cast LITTLE MORALS
Friday - Saturday, April 30-May 1 at Midnight
Downtown Nashville in an art old theater.
I highly recommend the show! I went last Halloween down to the Belcourt and the shadow cast is great!
Only 12 days left!
I think most of our household has already packed and is anxiously awaiting April 30th so we can begin our trek down to Tennessee. Here's hoping those days go quick!
:):D:)
Hahaha can't wait to see you guys Friday night! Let me know if you need directions. :P
I am quite giddy with excitement! (and shaking my head a bunch considering that looking back on the past few months I realise that I could have had the time to do cast. Sadly, at the time of auditions I didn't. So close...soooo close....!)
Nevertheless, I'll most certainly be partaking in faire. I'll be there as your regular ol' costumed playtron on the 15th of May. Watch out! I'll be in a custom costume! More info on that later.
Is there going to be any Ette invasion this year? It would be great to see the ol' gang.
Some of them will be there first weekend, and then Jack and Wenchie are coming second weekend!
On an AWESOME note, I got my season pass in the mail yesterday! woo! *happy dance*
Only 9 days away. ;D

(me's have not forgotten last year and the mon-soon's),
be well all,
your Old Tinker and his Belle...
Get to work people!!!
Just checked the 10 day forecast...it's early so I'm hoping winds of change can still prevail.
Saturday- Showers
Sunday- Scattered Storms (severe at times)
*sigh*
April has been Beautiful........I so do not want a repeat of last year!
PS: Don't shoot...I'm just the messenger!
I'm on it, Papa Tink!
faire weather, no rain...
faire weather, no rain...
faire weather, no rain...
Hopefully it'll storm this weekend and clear out and be sunny by next. *crosses fingers*
One week till faire!
We're gonna be heading down to the Tennessee faire on the weekend of the 8th/9th of May (I work weekends so this is my only shot at it). First time to the Tenn faire. Is there a R/F book to sign in at this faire like the ORF one? Hope to meet more of you if you're there. If not, maybe the Ky Highland (2nd weekend I think) or back up at ORF in mid October... I like the cooler days, but its hard for me to get a weekend off, and except the Tenn one (which I'm using one of my vacation weeks), the other two planned trips can be cancelled based on work requirements (but they better have a darned good, backupable reason if they do).
There isn't a book to sign like in KY and OH, but a central location tends to be the Red Hook pub for everyone at TNRF.
I will be making my cameo appearance at TNRF again this memorial day weekend if all goes well. There is a SLIM possibility that I will be there the week before...extremely slim!
Anyway, any of you who are going to be there memorial day weekend keep a look out for me. I'm easy to spot!!!!
:o
BACON! Can't wait to see you, festmum!
whoo! I'll be there on the weekend of the 15th for my eighth year. can't wait!
Opening Weekend forecast:

our Pinn, the key here is that our CapnFaye reports "SCATTERED T-STORMS", which me's will take over 80% rainfall, and the thing about scattered is that they(storms) will "scat" somewhere else beside at TNRF.. ;)
faire weather no rain,
faire weather no rain,
faire weather no rain,, so be it !
OT & B...
Last year scattered storms meant it would rain on Covington Glenn and hammer us but not a drop to fall anywhere else.
The glass is not half empty......it was in fact full of wine till the rain started and it sloshed out and became dilutted as I ran for cover.
;D

Oh but Mixsae, lets turn it around this year and it can rain everywhere else, but not on TNRF,

Depends on where we were. I was with Porter and Stout most the time. Us getting wet....it happens (I believe we coined the phrase "Moist" to explain it)
But the acoustic guitars.....they don't handle water quite as well as Pirates do.
Greetings everyone, this will be my visit to this faire. Im looking forward to it and having a great time! ;D

oh. you are forgiven, then. :]
let's just hope for no rain at all this season!
and lord magnus, hope you enjoy tnren! are you going opening weekend?
Greetings Chelamarie I will be there with some friends on opening weekend.
I at the festival site today. There are some changes. A beer tent has moved. Follow the road from the pub, pass the food vendors, pass the road to bazzar stage and you dead end at the new beer tent. The prives have been moved they were near the Pirate stage and are now at the far end of the Joust area. I think it's good this kills the bottle neck that was between the joust/chess board area and the path to the Pirates stage. They put gravel on the ground in the Privy area.
Sat May 1
Scattered T-Storms
High 77°
Low 65°
60% Chance
Sun May 2
T-Storms
High 76°
Low 59°
70% Chance
UGGGGGH! NO RAIN! *does SuperMagicAnti-RainDance™*

I know Griffin Leatherworks has moved. They are now near the The Pirate Stage and that tent....I highly suggest anyone who's been known to travel to dinner with us stop by Griffin's at some point Saturday.
Ya never know what you might find there (or who)
;)
I just read a weather report that its going to be strong T-Storms and over an inch of rain Sat. Is the local forecast down there saying anything different? going to be driving out tomorrow morning. :)
Sat May 1st
80% chance of T storms up to 1 to 2 inches of rainfall.
Sun May 2nd
80% chance of T storms with 1 to 2 inches of rainfall.

Ouch! my armor and surcoat are going to get drenched...
There is also a discussion going with Craig and several others on FB.
We're performing all sorts of "no rain" ceremonies but atleast one of us...not naming any names (he claims to be a slave to the crystal sphere) has caved in and begun waterproofing his boots and cloak...
We'll deal with him later :p
For now the question is...do we start building a boat OR gather as much waterproof canvas as we can and begin making a giant umbrella to cover all of Covington Glen?
Ummm.....yes!

after the downpour that was last year, I think both are serviceable options! haha.

Hey, I'm just thinking ahead.
Also thinking of trading the cloak for a life preserver vest. :p

"We're gonna need a bigger boat"
A bigger boat with a fully stocked bar and great acoustics!
(Just becuase it's raining does it mean the music has to stop!)
Sarah and I are hauling out our Renaissance Play clothes too. Wonder how this will look with rubber boots? :o
