So, Bacardi, how do you feel about Sailor Jerry's? Or should I just go ahead and buy the biggest bottle I can find? And not to leave the lovely Muffin out, what would be her preference?

Oh I am QUITE familiar with Appleton's.  A customer of mine from Jamaica brought me a bottle and I fell in love.  I drink nothing else now.  I personally believe it to be the best damn rum of the known world.  The Appleton's Special Dark is really really really good.

I have a few new ones lately that I may have to bring for all to try.
"Old New Orleans" comes to mind (Thanks, LJ for that new addiction).
And of course, for her wenchy goodness I may ask the Lovely Lady Trinn for a recommendation on some new brews

I don't know,

The importation of rum and wenchy goodness might be against the law in Texas, bast to do a test run first!

Is imported wenchy goodness better than local wenchy goodness?

There might have to be a try out, or comparison of sorts, with lots of rum involved!

Woot!! My vacation time has officially been approved! (not that I was worried, ha!) Took an extra day this year so we might be able to get down there earlier in the day on Thanksgiving!! Bacardi mentioned something about leaving at 5 am on Wednesday.. What's a 5 am? Uhhh I assume this happens before that big shiny ball that gives off warmth and happiness has shown its face?  :o Oh dear.... A happy wench I will not be...

but!!! YAY!!!! I can't wait!!!  ;D :-*

175 days and counting!

A 5am is some sort of thing that cows and roosters partake of, never seen one myself, really don't want to.

If I'm converting time zones correctly - which is always debatable - 5AM is what time it is in Hawaii when it's 10 AM in the Central Time Zone! Those poor Hawaiians, that's much too early in the day, isn't it? :)

I remember buying a used Audio Preamp through a magazine ad back in the 80's from a guy in Hawaii.  In order to check on it, I had to call him at something like 10:00 or 10:30 PM CDT, to catch him after he got off work in the afternoon.
