Just want to know who made it home. I'm sure some are at Toots.
Some friends came in for the fest. Once fest closed they went back to franklin and tried for over an hour to come to Nashville. All the side roads were closed big accident on I-65.
RFP ans BMG Jarvis at home.
Thanks, RFP!
Lady Nicolette and willin back safely at the wRenHouse.
Ernie and I made it home safe. so did Esther. Thought about visiting Esther and the grand kids but with 50+ roads closed in Nashville there is no way to get to Smyrna- also can not get to our son Seth in Belview- but he and Roxi are high and dry.
Derek and I made it home safe at about 4 am (in Cincinnati, Ohio). It took 2 hrs to get through Nashville last night. The others in our group are headed home today. I last heard from them about 50 min ago and they were on I-40
Sorry I didn't get to met you or the group. Pretty sure I spotted some of you while trying to see the faire.
Oct 3 we'll be at the mainstrasse Fairy fest in Covington, KY. Maybe we'll see you then.
Helen and I made it back to Fairfield, Ohio about 3:30 Sunday afternoon.
We made it in. Thankfully we were able to hop off of I24 at Old Hickory Blvd! If we had left Legends 15 minutes earlier than we did we would have been stuck in that traffic that got swallowed up by water. :(
Me, my brother, Capt. Lucy, and Liam are all hanging out north of Nashville (Springfield) - we're not letting Lucy head home til it's a little bit safer!
I am glad to hear that people are making it back home. We can finally drive out of our neighborhood and in the area.
Chuck'n and Pin'n finally made it home to Raleigh NC..... Had to have a discusson with a Wal-Mart between here and there about replacing a tire.
me Belle and me did make it home to the cottage,
so's our nearby town is under water (next to Green river),
and we's just made it across our lane before it had wash'd out a couple hour later.
but we's home and that's what counts,
good to hear our friends made it home okay,
that's one for the scrapbook,
be well all, hope to make another visit to TNRF this season,
your Old Tinker and his Belle...
Myself, Kadden and Layla made it home. Left this morning..took a LONG time to get through TN. We got home just in time - lots of the roads feeding into us here in Harrodsburg Kentucky are washed away. Whew!
I hate hearing that you guys are getting flooding up there in KY too, but VERY GLAD to hear from you and hearing you're safe!
Bristol had a pretty bad flooding one openning day one year not near as bad as I've seen you guys have.
Bristol had to use elephants to tow out a privey truck and used helicopters to fan away water in the parking lot.
Hope everyone's ok!
All of the visiting KHRF cast made it home safe by late Sunday. :)
Good to hear! :)
The rest of our group from Cincy made it in around 5pm yesterday. We followed Emily's directions, and made it without any hiccups. I don't think we'll be able to afford to try again this season, but next year it's on our to-do list again.
After the flooding on Saturday I called Mike freeman on Sunday morning. I spoke to him personally, Because he is a fellow knight. He then had my group stop by to see him and recieved a grand tour of the Castle. We finally made it back to Dayton Ohio about 8:30 pm and are still trying to clean up and dry out all thew garb
Sir S. I am glad that you finally caught up with Mike. I told him that you were looking to get with him.
We made it back to Indiana Sunday afternoon. Got lucky and got through Nashville just before all the roads where getting shut down... I will come back again next year though. I only got a chance to see about 1/3 of the faire before it was shut down... Im glad all are OK, my helm goes off to the cast that stood and sang as well were rounded up and escorted out of the faire. You all are real troopers!! ;)
All is well over here with my folks and I. I was planning to come down to the festival this past weekend, but decided not to chance it with the rain. Any word on if there will be faire this weekend?
Faire is planned for this weekend. There was not much damage to the site.
I feel for ALL of you, how horrible. While i'm dry here in Ohio, my other half is down there performing (y'all know him as Axel the Sot). I can give you a bit of an update regarding the I-24 Campground......the primative/tent area got hit badly, there was some damages to vehicles, but some areas were spared, Scott indicated tonight when he called it's drying out more. Sounds like the Nashville area got hit the worst.
Downtown Nashville was hit pretty bad. Clarksville, about an hour north was also hit real bad.
Driving through downtown this evening, things are still flooded. They were expecting the Cumberland in Nashville to get below flood stage this evening but it's looking like tomorrow sometime or Friday. A day or so later for Clarksville since it's downriver
How are the major roadways? I'm leaving tomorrow morning to come down to faire this weekend. Can I get through Nashville and down I-24 to Murfreesoboro or should I look for an alternate route?
Thinking of you all. I am from Hendersonville and have family in Lebanon. Seeing the pics give me goosebumps. I hate to see my hometown going through this. My grandfather used to perform at the Opry and I feel like a part of my family's history is under water right now.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers. *hugs*
The Tennessee DOT web page has a nice map showing the flooded roads. I'm driving down Friday from Lancaster, Kentucky and the major highways look ok, though some of the roads they go over show flooded, but the messages say they should be cleared by this afternoon. Shouldn't affect you too much except maybe the extra traffic going around the impasssable roads nearby. Here is the page: http://ww2.tdot.state.tn.us/tsw/smartmap.htm (http://ww2.tdot.state.tn.us/tsw/smartmap.htm)
Quiet One. I look forward to meeting you this weekend. We are formerly from Ohio and used to visit GLMF which I know you frequent and have posted lots of great pictures. Will you be ther on Sunday? Please look for my daughter Sarah and I. She in orange stripe and I in green.

I heard they were all open as of this morning.
Thanks Sigundo and Capt Faye for the road info. It's good to know that at the end a a long trip I won't have to make it a longer trip with detours.
Amy I will be there both Sat & Sun. I look forward to meeting you.
Interstates should be no issue as far as detours but expect delays.
Many of the county roads have issues, people are displaced and traffic has been a little higher then norm.
I'm glad everyone's OK! Hope it's a nice, DRY weekend!
Looked out at the river on the way home today and on the south loop the river is below the flood stage! Dunno about downtown (can't see from 65N on the south loop)
Sorry the faire got hit like it did. I am glad I got to go last year on a day it drizzled off and on but was there all day to see and enjoy it and everyones company. I hope the rest will be ok for everyone.
Last I heard there still a flood watch on the cumberland till 10 am friday.
I got home Wednesday. House is ok but did lose a truck and storage buildings.
