Greetings,
For anyone in the Houston Area I just stumbled across a Renaissance Garb Shop. They already have stuff made or they can do some custom work for you and alterations. I checked it out and the stuff is all hand made and very nice. It is on Jones Rd. just north of 1960 on your right. It just says "Costume and Alteration" on the sign but it is definitely a garb shop. The real name is Wolfon's Costumes. Shoot me a mesage if anyone wants the store number. Happy hunting.
I know the place... right around the corner from me. Never been inside, though. Now it looks like i have a reason. ;D
that's just waaaaayyyy to close to my office lol! :D
Yeah I live just down Jones close to 290 and have been driving by for some time and just thought to drop in. Was pleasantly suprised.
I live just around the corner from them too. I resist the temptation of peeking inside on a daily basis, as there are no finances for more costumery at this time.. but one of these days, I know the power of the sparkle will overtake me... hehe.
Hmmmm....may have ti make a trip up there....
I just picked up my new cloak from Wolfons Costumes and I am very pleased. It will keep me nice and toasty on those cold nights. Y'all should check it out when you get a chance.
Do they per chance have shoes, boots and accessories at Wolfons' or just clothing?
They do have boots and shoes but I'm not too sure about accessories.
Merci beaucoup Lord Virgo!
Think nothing of it my lady
The kiddo and I stopped by there today, while we were out treasure hunting. The owner is a VERY cool fellow- we chatted with him for a while. I'm going to email him the link to the forums so he can drop in. He has a few very cool pieces in the shop, I saw one hat that I particularly wished I had an excuse to own, lol. And even better, he does his own sewing & altering, so he can do custom work- or help you fix pieces that you've acquired with the intention of altering but just haven't quite figured out how to conquer yet.
Didn't see much in the way of accessories, other than the hats and a some belts, but who knows, maybe I'll try convincing him rent me a table, hehe-- I've got a few hundred hair flowers that need good homes :)
Thanks Gwen. Will definitely check out his shop before we head north to Bristol.
Is there a website or phone number available?

I have a different number on my invoice from them if that one doesn't work (979) 922 3718
The gentleman who owns it is Robert Powell
He says he's going to be closing that location in the next week or so, due to rent going up. He'll continue working from his house though.
Greetings, This is Wolfon aka Robert Powell of Wolfon's Costumes. I know some of you have just found me and due to a rent increase I am forced to close my store front. I will continue to offer my services from my home. I have been costuming for 13 years and I can create a one of a kind outfit be it H/A or fantasy. I can work from pictures, sketches or your ideas. I will once again be located at the Shell station on the way in to TRF as I have been in the past.
