oo that looks like an old OOP pattern? I have an addiction to those on ebay....well patterns in general until I gain more conficence in my sewing and altering before attempting on of Margo Andersons...
Sorry that was a thread HighJack...
Not a hijack... how old is it?
Does anyone know?
I don't think that pattern is much more than five years old, just from the pattern envelope. Even the typeface of the word Rennaissance is only been used by Simplicity for a few years. So I'd say your pattern dates about 2005 or so...
I think 2005 is about right. I looked at some of the envelopes that are styled that way and it does date 2005 in teeny tiny letters on the the envelope flap
Yes, I have that pattern. I made many pairs of leggings/tights from it.
At the Costume Shop where I worked from 2000-2005, we had that pattern for the Renaissance costume line. The larger men needed rentals, and this one was a good pattern to work from at the time, with some modifications for the sleeves. Carol used this pattern and the companion Henry VIII coat to make the "Burger King" costume.
This pattern dates between 2003-2005.
