Title: Trying to decode the different ranks and titles of middle age persons.
Post by: JJames on June 06, 2010, 08:22:09 PM
I was curious of what the different titles of many medieval persons mean. I've googled and found a few sites, but nothing that really breaks them all down. Anyone know where I could find this info? I am refeirringn to, for example, what exactally a duke, lord, sir...., etc. is, who would be addressed by these names and what would their status have to be in order to be titled as such. Would like to see for both men and women! Many thanks!

James
