Title: Looking for buttons...
Post by: Zardoz on July 01, 2010, 05:13:37 PM
Has anyone ever seen a source for buttons, plain or fancy, with a shock or 'garb' of wheat on them?

Something like this...

I've been looking for some nice ones for a jacket, but I've had no luck finding anything!   ???

I am not sure if I had seen that kind of button anywhere, but www.pillagedvillage.com (http://www.pillagedvillage.com) has an array of buttons that could work in its place. I have ordered tons of great buttons from them.

What if you got something like http://cgi.ebay.com/WHEAT-Silver-Plated-PEWTER-Charm-Embellishment-/180527011025 and then cut off the loop and soldered the wheat to a plain matching button as a raised embellishment?

Just an idea, of course.
