Title: 2010 Season
Post by: Romeo 'the' Red on July 20, 2010, 06:41:30 AM
Hi All,
Just wanted to give an update of our progress on the 2010 faire.  We have all of our entertainers signed to contracts and are very excited about the new acts we have managed to grab.  Check out the website (www.fishersrenfaire.com) for all the latest.  (blurbs describing all the acts will be up soon).  We will also be having advanced tickets sales up shortly (after running into some computer issues).  The advanced tickets will be $8 for adults and $4 for kids (4 and under still free).   We have a whole bunch of new vendors as well as our usual ones (somewhere around 70-80 total) not including the food vendors.

The cast is excited for we have for the first time, a fight team which will be performing in the lanes as well as doing a Battle Royal (based on our theme of the Year of Legends for this year) : which is our take on the human chess match.

More postings to follow to explain this years them: YEAR OF LEGENDS.

Next Years' theme will be:  The Year of High Seas Adventure

It will be lots of fun.....Don't miss it.

See you at the faire

Good Morrow Loyal Friends and Patrons,
'Tis that time of year once more and advanced tickets are available for the Fishers Renaissance Faire Oct 2,3 on the grounds at Conner Prairie.

This year we have online ticket sales (finally).  The ticket prices are $10 at the gate, $8 in advance for adults and $5 at the gate and $4 in advance for kids 5 and older, kids 4 and younger are free.  For the young ones we have expanded "The Quest: Fishers Renaissance Faire's Educational Experience" (which is FREE).

We have also posted a comprehensive list of our entertainers for this year along with descriptions (which will be posted here shortly).

Come visit us!  We cater to our patrons so if there is anything you don't see that you would like us to have in the future, please let us know.  Our vendors, entertainers and our patrons are our Partners and Friends.  Unlike some faires, we are not a business!  Money we raise goes to fund college scholarships, student/teacher exchanges with Billericay England (our Sister City) and some community events.  Noone who is involved in the Committee or the Cast receives any recompense (obviously we pay the entertainers).

See you at the faire and till then smooth sailing to you.
