Ok, so it might not be period, but it does deal with sewing and being creative. Wow look at what these people did with Duct Tape.

Very creative kids!!!

I have a confession to make....I USE DUCT TAPE when I make Hat crowns!!! Using Duct tape to hold crown seam together works very well. It also helps in holding down the flannel underlining(mulling) at the top
