Hello all!
With opening day for the Maryland Renaissance Faire approaching, my husband decides that he wants two new pairs of tights. Now, we went to JoAnns today, and I surprisingly did not see any patterns for costume tights. I searched on google, still didn't find anything. So I need your help.
Do any of you know of a site/tutorial/etc that shows you how to make a pair of mens tights? If it includes the fabric codpiece opening that would be awesome too. I'm at my wits end here!
Thanks!

There is also a pattern in The Tudor Tailor.
Lady Season, I love how you just fearlessly dive into new projects! Good on ya, woman!!!

Thanks Gem. Although looking through those links, they appear to be more of hosen/undergarments. I am trying to make him a pair of regular tights, to be worn as his actual pants, no foot with a codpiece :)
And Marietta, I can thank the ADD for my random fearlessness of diving into new projects!
What about these ones?

Here's another. They are labeled hosen, so maybe not quite right either and it might be more than you want to spend at $30.

Sounds like a fun project. :)
Okay..my ocd brain had to go find out. Now I know the difference.

A thought... if you cant find a good pattern you could by an inexpensive pair (I've seen very simple tights for under $30) and make a pattern for your own creation from there.
all thanks ladies. i didnt even think to look in the sportswear sections, guess another trip to JoAnns is in order (not that I am complaining or anything! lol)
