Title: Swiss Guard at TRF/Scarby
Post by: batninja on August 20, 2010, 04:42:36 PM
I've seen the papal Swiss Guard reenactors a few times at festivals before, and was wondering if anyone has any contact information or a website for the folks.  Is it an actual organization here in Texas, or do they just magically all show up in the same uniform, and think, 'what the heck, we should be in the parade'?

I'm doing some research for my Swiss roots...

I believe that some, if not all of them are members of the Scarborough Royal Guard.  You may want to try contacting the playtrons of the Guard (some of them are on this board).  They may be able to point you in the right direction.

The SRG has a website, too:

They plan on when to show as the Swiss guard all are members of one of the other playtron groups at Scraborough either the SRG or the QOH or the TM.

I am in contact with at least 2 of them on a regular basis.  I will pass along your interest and see if they are going to show en masse this year at TRF.

Stalk well...
