Hi my friends,
I just finished putting up my pictures from the Illinois Renaissance Faire this past weekend 8/28/29/10. The faire is located in Elsworth Park in Danville, Illinois, just about 4 hours from where I live in the Milwaukee area. The faire runs for just one weekend, but took in quite a few people while I was there. The weather was fantastic as well with the humidity being in the 20% range and in the mid 80's. I also got to meet many new people, past acquaintances and close old friends such as the Paragon jousting troupe and Minstrel Wood. It was a pleasure to meet King Henry VIII and Queen Catherine and take in everything else it had to offer. I Very much want to go back again next season. It was a fantastic time. And yes they have beer and flavored meade. The Raspberry was especially good. To see the pictures, just go to the link on my site below and click on the Illinois Faire link. Have fun...

Clisto, what kind of entertainment (musical & otherwise) was there? It's a rather long drive for us, so I'm trying to weigh up for next year between our usual visits to Bristol & a road trip to this faire. Thanks!
It was 4 hours for me but very enjoyable. Hi, here are the links to their webpage info on those topics -

Merchants - http://www.illinoisrenfaire.com/vendors.html
The lists are not totally complete online.
Thanks, Clisto. It looks like it was a nice little faire. We'll see about next year.
We're at Bristol on Sunday and Monday this weekend. Hope to see you there.
