Do you do things in a particular way that is different that most people? Do you have a talent or skill that isn't common?
It can be something small. For example, a guy I know has to change the dial on the radio back to whatever it was before he gets out of the car. Another example might be your ability to remember something obscure about someone, like their favorite song, even if you've only met them once. Or perhaps you just have some crazy double joints. What ever it is that makes you quirky, share it here.

I have mild OCD, it's likely your car radio guy does too...I just think of it as a series of habits, they don't control or bother me too much.
I remember a lot of trivial information, more than most folks care for! ??? I was on a 4 day cruise that had 6 trivia contests, I won 5 of them, I was off the boat for the other one.. ::)
Oh yeah, and I wear a kilt all the time 8)
I have a bunch of stuff, but I will just start with one.
When I carry cash, it has to be in even amounts rounded up.
I'm a musician (on the side). I can hear a tune a couple of times, maybe follow a chart for a couple of run-thrus, then never refer back to a chart again. But songs I have sung for years I still need lead sheets for. I cannot store lyrics in my head!
I see the world differently than most (just ask LadyFae) and I always try and stay positive - which leads to a massive amount of energy ;D

Valiss, are you a sociology or psychology student? Just wondering, due to the series of questions you've asked here on the forums.

Nope, just trying to make interesting conversation. :)
Since you asked-
double Jointed Knees-
and an odd prediliction to use large words
I see and hear things others do not.
I see patterns everywhere.
I can speak to animals with my heart and soul and they seem to understand.
I had a teacher tell me once when I was a teenager and very suicidal...."You are Unique in all this World" and it stuck with me and in some ways healed me. I am Unique and very strange, some call me weird. "Weird is the spice of life"
My earring.
I can drive across railroad tracks almost anywhere in Texas and tell you the name of the railroad that originally built it and approximately in what year.
My third daughter's birth story. =D
I collect dictionaries, and can translate enough of most written Latin based languages to get at least an idea of what something is saying, and even parts of the spoken languages, as well, even though I've never actually studied any of them, and I don't speak any languages fluently except English.
I work complex mathematical equations in my head to help me sleep. I see math in pretty much everything.
I usually sleep less than 3 hours a night.
I can shoot left and right handed with scary accuracy.
More will come to me. I am a bit eccentric, so I am told.
I have made bubble machines for many years... originally for kite flying to track the ground winds, then just for the fun and joy they bring people. I have had a few persons get really upset with me because I do not do this for money but rather, my payment is in smiles and giggles. I once had a youngster thoughtfully watch me, the bubble machine, and the effect it was having on other people. He then stepped up and said to me "You're not like other adults!". I took that as a compliment. ;D ;D ;D
A Blog entry about my bubbling- http://www.kendrickhang.com/ken/blog/2007/04/kite-festival-photos-bubble-machine.html (http://www.kendrickhang.com/ken/blog/2007/04/kite-festival-photos-bubble-machine.html)
If you touch my belly button I will throw up. If you touch your belly button it makes me gag.
I have to listen to the entire song before switching radio stations but can surf around on CD's.
I taught nuclear weapons safety in the Air Force.
Shot marksman every time I had to qualify with an M-16 but haven't touched a weapon (gun) since getting out of the Air Force.
I'm just as unique as everyone else and for all the same reasons.
Hey MG, look at this (rubs the belly). You shouldn't have told on yourself. I'll be tempted to make you gag when next we meet. (drum hit & rimshot)

Oh you can rub your belly all you want! Just don't touch your belly button (cack!)!!! My oldest will touch his when I'm yelling at him just to get me to stop. :-X Brat.
BTW, you're mean, Grov! LOL
Oh, and I look really good in camouflage, but nobody can see me. ::) :P :D
I didn't think of anything to write in this thread until today. My coworker and I were talking about our favorite candy and when I told her how I eat M&Ms, she said she had never heard anything like it and said I was weird, so now I have a post for this thread!
My favorite candy is plain M&Ms. I sort them out into colors & eat them from the ones I like least to my favorite. Here's the order:
Blue. I give them away. I hate blue M&Ms! I refuse to eat them. It is my protest for them taking away the beige ones.
Brown
Green
Orange
Yellow
Red. My favorite!
I love dark chocolate but only bought the dark chocolate M&Ms once. Why? Because the colors were purple, silver, & black, and I refuse to eat them again.
Call me an old fashioned girl, but I like the original rainbow colors of M&Ms, not all these new colors. Also, forget peanut M&Ms. No thank you.
I know. I KNOW. They all taste the same. But I don't care. I won't eat other color M&Ms. So I'm weird. I'm ok with that! ;D
A former eye doctor of mine has discovered that I see color differently than most people. I'm like the polar opposite of color blind. I visually dissect things into every shade, hue, tone etc that is there. I can see the tiniest nuances in shading. For example, I can tell when identical fabrics are from different bolts, due to the tiniest difference in dyeing. Apparently I have more "cones" than most people. Rods receive high detail and such, but cones get all of the color. I'm no scientist so I don't know how better to explain it. I've gotten into arguements with people about colors before. Usually its about teal and things like that, colors between colors that are usually really obvious what colors they are between. Most people can't tell which color its closer to. Its really weird. I love color and always have, the more bright or deep the happier I am. :) It makes life really interesting...It also makes me fear drug trips...if the colors I see now can get more intense I'm sure I'll end up with a headache and nightmares lol.

I used to work with a woman who had this ability. She worked in the color print lab and balanced the machines visually, versus using a spectrometer. And she was more accurate than the machine.

Oh, how odd... I do the same thing! I won't eat the blue ones at all, because I can taste the difference in the dye, and it tastes like chemicals. But from there we're different, because I eat the red ones next, and I can still taste a bit of difference in them, as well, although not as strong as the blue. From there it's almost the same, though... green, brown, orange and yellow, but the peanut M&M's are the ones I prefer. I won't eat the others, either... not the Spring pastel colors, or the holiday Green and Red, or those scary purple and whatever...
But the Almond M&M's are my very favorites...
I eat candy weirdly. For example, on a Kit Kat, I bite off the chocolate on the ends, then usually peel off the top layer, then the inside (trying not to touch the chocolate on the sides), and then I eat the bottom and one side. Similar for other candy bars - I pretty much dissect them all.
And when I eat hot pockets, I use chopsticks. I peel off the outer cripsy layer of dough with my teeth, then use the chopsticks to eat the meat from the inside, then slowly eat the rest.
I have a lot of weird food habits, and I'm a super picky eater.
I have hazel blue/green eyes...that almost act like the "mood rings" of the 70's. If I wear blue, they're blue. If I wear green, then they're green. If I'm p*ssed or scared - they're ice blue, almost white. If I'm very sad, they're dark green. If I'm h*rny, and I mean in the "very..." state - one is blue, one is green.
I can cross and lock my left eye in place, and roll my right eye in any direction. I can do the reverse (lock right, roll left) if I focus. From there, I have a wide variety of crossed eyes/eye rolls that I use for comedic effect. Funny thing is, my sophomore year in high school, my football coach did this a lot...one day I wondered if I could - and lo, and behold - I COULD! lol.
I'm also a non-linear thinker and cataloguer of odd bits of information that I store and then bring into play at opportune moments. As an IT Project Manager its not only a valuable tool - it often makes me appear to be a "magician" when I pull the proverbial rabbit out of a hat to save the project. I LOVED shows like "Make A Wish" and "Connections" - both were fantastic!
The hair on my head, in the areas that it's supposed to grow, falls out at about the same rate that it grows. Consequently, I haven't had to cut my hair since 1997. However, hair grows on the outside of my ears at an alarming rate, and I have to shave my ears regularly.
I also like to segregate my M&Ms.
I constantly put things in rainbow order...Skittles, crayons, markers, push-pins...you name it...rainbow order.
I have an extra strong sense of smell...not always a good thing...say, chili night at camp. :o
I suck my thumb and have since babyhood and don't plan to quit, despite dental work and many professional people trying to get me to quit. But ONLY my left thumb...I'm right handed, so it works out...plus the right thumb just tastes funny!!!!
EDIT: Bellerive reminded me...I too am afraid of balloons (mylar ones are ok)!!! I always hated "decorate the co-worker's desk" day at work. Ugh.
I have a similar eye situation to molden...the brighter green my eyes the more excited/happy i am...I have a friend with epic mood ring eyes...its funny tho cuz her eyes are so light that its hard to tell if you don't know her...its a great way to tell when she needs taking care of...or to be as far away from whoever is in the room...lol

I think you've just become my new hero.
I sleep walk but I do errands when I do. I'll get up and get the cat food or put my gas card in my wallet or rearrange my desk. It has its downsides so I've let in someone who rang the doorbell at like 4 in the morning (luckily it was my brother) and tried to use superglue while asleep and woke up with my hand glued to my shirt. I didn't know I did this to the doorbell thing and after I stayed in a hotel with my friend.
I am also really good with animals. (Who else would try to give a hissing, spitting, growling stray cat a bath?) ;)
I am a city boy who moved to the country and started my own goat farm. I ride a harley and am tattooed pretty much from my shoulders to my feet. In spite of that i am a law enforcement officer, college educated and love to garden and landscape. I don't drink, smoke, do drugs, eat peanut butter or popcorn, and am not fond of steak or meat in general. If you judged me by my looks you would think i am the total opposite of what i really am. I also only sleep about 5 hours a day, which helps having a full time job, a farm and all my other interests.

EDIT: A closer reading of the MNRF Program Guide points out that it was the Minnesota State Longbow Competition that was held at MNRF on Labor Day weekend.
I am also a segregator of candies... but, only some.
Skittles, gotta group colors together, then put the colors into Roy G Biv
Starburst, I have to have a complete set (lemon, orange, cherry strawberry) then put them in color/shade order
I almost never use recipes, or patterns, and it drives my mom batty
I'm afraid of balloons and down escalators
I have more hair (folicles) on my head than 2 people put together
I'm a 'bar sinister' descendent of Henry II and Eleanor of Aquataine (LONG story, but documented)
I sound like a recording when I answer the phone at work.
(i know I have one more thing but cant for the life of me think what it was!)
i can actually walk backward nearly as well as i can walk forward
not to mention that i can read several different books at the same time and keep them all straight i can also pick up a book after not reading it for a while and know exactly what is going on
Oh! Speaking of backward... I'm not ambidextrous, but I can write legibly with my right hand (being left-handed) as long as I write backward! If I try to write from left to right with my right hand it can hardly be read, but I can write just fine, and in cursive, even... backward. I learned this about myself about 15 year ago while doing some "other hand" consciousness training exercises, and it's been a little quirk ever since.
I can also read upside-down, almost as easily as I read right-side up.
I am unique...just like everyone else...

You all do realize - if this question was posed to any of us anyplace but this forum our answer would be something akin to....
"I travel thousands of miles a year and spend untold dollars going to Ren Faires. I have an entirely separate persona and wardrobe for this activity and spend time with hundreds of people who do not know my real name or what I am like in the mundane world"
I love being unique with my fairemly

I actually used something similar at a "tell us something about you that we don't know" icebreaker kind of thing at a company function recently! Another person said something like, "yeah, what she said!" LOL.
I little bit of the homeland stuff.
I am related to the 1st Duke of Wellington. Yep, the same guy from Waterloo.
There has been a member of my family in Wexford, Ireland since the year 790.
My family fought Cromwell with the Royalists during the Irish Confederate Wars. 300 some years later, we fought the crown in the 1916 Easter rising.
I guess that is kind of interesting.
More about me, I qualified expert pistol with left and right hands, but can only shoot a rifle left handed.
I have alot of tattoos, not like thats a big deal.
Im sure other stuff will come to me.
I know how to eat fire...
I have rubbed a tiger's belly and played with a cerval (smaller African wild cat)...
I also have the color-changing eyes...it says blue on my birth certificate, but they go from grey to blue to greenish brown depending on what I'm wearing and my mood...
I took the SAT in 5th grade (and scored just under 1000)...
if I were having this conversation with 'danes, I'd mention that I was married at the Sterling Renaissance Festival (my profile pic was taken on my wedding day), but a wedding at Faire isn't very unusual around these parts ;)
I have hitchhiked to every state in the Union except ME, VT, NH and HI, and through 3 Canadian Provinces. (many years ago when I was much more daring... and less safety conscious... than I am now)
I'm one of those people who no one notices until they need them. Just by sitting doing embroidry and watching a friend of mine one afternoon I knew he going to propose before his parents did. Scared them to death when I had their hand made wedding gift ready for their quick wedding. ;D I'm also the person that knows all the gossip around the theater. No one pays attention to me so they just let fly. Not sure if that is the whole, 'servants are ignored' mentality or just no one notices me.
I'm like a little ghost or mouse in mundane life blending into the woodwork. You take me to faire I stand out like a parrot. Granted I'm standing next to a bright pink flamingo, so I MIGHT be missed due to his beacon of light, but hey I do get noticed at faire. :)
I'm not sure if it is a talent or training, but I can ususally tell what size dress, or pants someone wears, what bra cup size they are, and if they have ever had back problems.
I've traveled to 34 countries and 33 states.
I went to Germany before i was two ofcourse a little irked about that since i didn't get to see the castles
I've also been to south america twice and will be going back for a third time in a few weeks and i'm hoping that my fourth trip will be the longest of my trips
Because I born in Germany (but moved before I was 3 months old), lived in Japan, Florida and the San Antonio area, and did not live around the Houston area until later in '89, I am constantly told I have a German accent.
I was born in Ireland and moved to the US then I was 10, I have no accent at all.
Have several German friends, one moved here when he was like 15 or 16, has no accent at all. Another moved here 7 or years ago and his is pretty pronounced. I lived in Germany for 3 years, loved it.
Lady Stich, I tend to go unnoticed also. Even at faire with my huge wings.... I joked on here several times that it must be the faerie glamour!
I read/write in about 12 different languages (that I can think of at the moment). Only problem is, they're all computer languages.
