In honor of "Pirate Adventure" Weekend, Creative Life Bookstore has invited the crew from Blackbead Books back this year! With copies of Raising Black Flags, Echoes From Other Worlds, and the CD, "A Night at Devil's Tavern", the crew will be set up between Creative Life and the Prince of Wales Pub on Saturday and Sunday, October 23-24, 2010! Stop by for a "free sample" of pirate poetry, including the latest humorous piece, a song written to the tune of "My Darling Clementine" entitled . . . wait for it . . . "My Darling Keg-O-Limes"! Come by and get your copy of these fine works of pirate literature signed by Blackbead, Captain Jasper, or whoever else shows up! We'll see ye there for a piratical, poetic, adventurous time!

Well, sweets, I'm too darn broke to hit SteamCon next month so there is a better than even chance you'll have me for a while, probably Saturday, if you'll have me. I promise to nom something tasty!
Will be glad to see you both
If only you could be there the weekend following as well! ??? :(
Taffy - PLEASE come out if you can!
Ravic - Thank you!
Lady Jessica - I had planned on doing a second booksigning at Green Man but, alas, I am currently scheduled to travel to Bagdad for six months in the near future and my time is getting to be less and less my own.

'Twas a glorious weekend at the Texas Renaissance Festival! MANY folks stopped for "free samples" and we signed many a book for those that stopped (we actually sold OUT of copies of Echoes From Other Worlds!) We met lots of new friends and reacquainted ourselves with some great shipmates! I am still enamored with that excellent amaretto Loki! You know who you are!
Thank you, thank you, thank you to Ravic of Creative Lyfe Booksellers! You are always an excellent host and I look forward to seeing you again NEXT year after my long voyage to the East!
The crew was well represented and included Captain Jasper, Captain Saltwater, Mr. Flint and meself! Thank you to all that came out and supported this fine effort!

Oh, I'm so sad I couldn't get down for the signing, but I only get one weekend a year, and this coming weekend is it! I'm soooo excited to hear that "Echoes" sold out, although it means there won't be a copy for me to sign when I stop in this weekend. Ah, well... I'll be stopping in, anyway, and I'll be dragging Taffy along with me! :D I look forward to meeting you, Ravic, and Blackbead, I'll continue to look forward to meeting you in the future!
The feeling is mutual! I still long for a day when all of the poets, authors, and artists who have had a hand in these books can sit down and break bread together! It may never happen but a seadog can dream.
