As many of you may know on each performance day we give special recognition to that day's outstanding member of the Performance Comapny. The awards, handmade by our own Madam Nina (http://www.etsy.com/shop/ThimbleNina) are beautiful, highly coveted and worn with pride. So, without further ado, here are this season's winners (new recipients each performance day forthcoming). If you see them out and about, give them a hearty pat on the back, or handshake for a job well done. It is proving already to be extremely difficult this year to award this honor as we have so many outstanding performers on our cast.
Saturday, October 9
Nyl Stewart
In Deutschland they have Oktoberfest each year
With songs, food and games and oh so much beer.
The Family Von Cleves are our talented hosts
They hoist up their steins with cheers, prousts and toasts.
Nyl Stewart is Fynn, a rock star most wild,
His performance this day made everyone smile!

Sunday, October 10, Stephen Dodd – Henry VIII
Henry VIII is a jolly good king,
While he strolls in the lanes he laughs and he sings.
Handsome he is with his charming bright smile
You know well he's coming for many a mile.
Stephen Dodd plays him well as our new English King
He's had HUGE shoes to fill, that is no easy thing.

Saturday, October 16, Stephen Ford-High, The Lord Mayor
Ever on the go, running to and fro,
The Lord High Mayor is never ever slow.
Messages from good King Henry keep him on his toes,
Which task he takes seriously and it really shows.
Stephen Ford High, you are a joy to have around,
As you tend to your duties about our quaint town.

Sunday, October 17th – Niki Marshall as Grandmamma
The Transylvanians have Grandmamma who they love most dear,
She limps through New Market spreading horror and fear.
Her leeches and potions and alchemy are on hand,
And she'll read you the bones that she rolls in the sand.
Whisper to her hump, it might tell you its name,
Once you meet her on the path, you will never be the same.
Niki Marshall you are awesome with your wacky and weird ways
Thank you for your work in these warm autumn days.

Saturday, October 23rd – Da'Rel Johnson as Obsidian
The battle cry rings out from the fierce Barbarian clan,
It's the voice of our Obsidian, Queen Vendela's right hand man.
His presence is most awesome and a power to behold,
His menacing countenance is fantastic, stony and bold.
His face may be stern, but don't you be fooled,
He's sweeter than a lamb with soft, fluffy wool.
If you see him around, please grant him his due
Da'rel Johnson is his name and he's coming for you!

I walked past the booth you worked last year three times looking for you and saw your "persona" out and about many times and kept telling myself it was YOU! but I was too chicken to come and say hellooo :)
Your very talented! I see you out and about all the time!
I can't wait to see you Grandmamma! The video was awesome, they were all asking what I was laughing at at work HUZZAH!
Congratulations Blue!
It looked like you were having a lot of fun during that dance. I noticed a couple of the cast members seemed to have to work on keeping a fairly straight face.
Take Care,
David Baldock
Thanks everyone, your kind words are keeping me in a state of blush LOL! I'm glad to have finally found my faire calling *snerk*.

Assaulting men during dances? ;) ;D
Sunday October 24th, Alexander Taylor as Hansel von Cleves
The apple doesn't fall very far from the tree
For a certain young man in our Germany.
His father I am sure, must be quite proud
And to his talented son I am sure that he bowed.
Zander Taylor is a joy to have with our cast.
As Hansel von Cleves he's having a blast.
He's the son of Greg Taylor, our most esteemed king
And he's got his father's talent in charm and acting.

Saturday, October 30th, Jessica Belt as Queen Anne Boleyn
Queen Anne Boleyn cuts a fine figure to behold,
She sparkles and has charisma more precious than gold.
With her wit, charm and swagger, she drifts through the crowd
And holds her head high, and lofty and proud.
Whether with her King Henry or cheering on her knight
Jessica Belt you are fabulous and a charming delight.

WEWT!!! GO JESSICA! And way to go Zander... you're amazing, kiddo!
Geez Xander is the awesome! I adore the kid!
Congrats!
I saw Blue several times but she was in the midst of doing her bit so I didn't want to interupt.
Xander I saw and was really impressed with.
Missed Jessica though.
Sigh... I never win
*I thought I did a good representation of a rum drunk*

Geez Xander is the awesome! I adore the kid!
Isn't he absolutely adorable? Sweetest kid.
He is sweet and hilarious and highly motivated and VERY talented for his age. He overflows ideas like you would not believe! He is a ball of energy too... I am always having to reign him in lol he wants to do so much! We adore him!
Good job Blue! And congrats to all the winners!
It's likely because of my faire induced ADD, but I don't think I've really seen Jessica as Queen Anne. :(
I have, it seems, met her mother, Elizabeth, the Countess of Wiltshire though, (or at least a upwardly noble woman claiming to be Elizabeth Boleyn) she has stopped me and had me 'flash the pleats' a couple of times.
Sunday, October 31st, Andie Nelson as Thorra the Joyous
The Norse men of old lived in the cold
But their stamina was not at all hampered.
Berserkers they were, pillaging all on sheer nerve
And their spirit never was dampened.
Thorra the Joyous we know is an ice maiden fair
Partakes in the Horde's raids on their heel.
She absconds with her share back to her lair,
Andie Nelson plays her real with her zeal.

Saturday, November 6th, Ron "Rabbit" Lewis as Robin Hood
Legends of Old tell us the tale of Robin Hood and His Merry Men.
They stole from the rich to give to the poor over and over again.
In the Forest of Sherwood they hide from the Sheriff of Nottingham who is nasty and rude.
His sights are set on Robin, his head for a price, be it ugly and bloody and crude.
Ron Lewis is his name who plays this outlaw game, Eluding the Sherriff and his gang.
He's a joy to have around, as he charms all in town playing his cat and mouse game.

Huzzah and congratulations to 2 great performers!
Conga-rats to my friend and fight partner, Andie. She also plays Maid Marian at Sherwood Forest Faire.
Sunday, November 7th, Brittnay Tidwell as Madigan Hatter
Brittnay,
You are in a far greater place where the light shines forever,
Its only challenge is your effervescent smile.
Watch over us all as we keep you close in our hearts,
As we remember you all the while.
Rest in Peace Sweet Brittnay.

Saturday, November 13th, Melissa McClung as Lady Beatrice Busybody, The Mistress of the Revels
More characters she's played than anyone I know,
Be it the highest of blue bloods, or the lowest of the low.
As the Mistress of the Revels she keeps our day going
And would soldier on thus, whether rain, sleet or snowing.
You cannot deny she is a pro's pro at that,
Melissa McClung, you're always where its at.

HUZZAH!
Sunday, November 14th, Jim Cook as Father Jacob Black
If you've got sin on the brain and indulgences are your game
Father Jacob Black is here and he can help you.
If you want your prayers all heard, then to him just say the word,
And he'll lend a guiding hand or maybe two.
Jim Cook does rather well as the clergyman who sells
Salvation for a song, or dance or jest.
We hope he's here to last as he's fantastic with our cast,
A fine performer at The Tex Ren Fest.

Saturday, November 20th, Kinsey Britton as Ichipop the Elf
As the holidays draw near, and there is joy upon the air
Santa's elves make ready for their day.
Making toys by the dozens and baking cookies in their ovens
They work so very hard with little play.
But at New Market's fall faire, they can give little care
To their round the clock labors in high gear.
Ichipop is Kinsey Britton and all of us are smitten
With her boundless energy and Christmas cheer.

Congrats Jim!!!!
That girl has an EPIC amount of energy! Well deserved indeed! And Mr. Cook is quite possibly one of the best clergy characters I've ever come across. I think we broke him when we decided to divide by zero.
Sunday, November 21st: Hana Khan as Princess Isabella
Viva Espana! all the Spaniards do say,
Along with Juana La Loca and Papa Hombre.
All of their daughters so bonita and pure
Can charm your sombreros off with their allure.
Princess Isabella, she's the apple of their eye
As cheers on her joust knight with her rousing cry.
Hana Khan you're a pearl, the best in Spain that glows,
Your wit, and za are awesome, and really, really show.

Friday, November 26th: Lisa Graham
As a King's Yeoman Guard, she's a sight to behold
With her carefully coiffed curls, the night before that she rolled.
Keeping up with her peers is no difficult feat
As she holds firm on her own in the rain, cold and heat
Keeping step with her fellows, and keeping them in line
Lisa Graham we're glad that we had you all of this Faire time.

Saturday, November 27th, Zach Penland as John Erskine, the Earl of Moray
The Bonny Earl of Moray, such a handsome lad is he
Tall, fair and dashing, from the Highlands to Dumfries.
He saunters through New Market, waiting to take the Crown
From Margaret Tudor Stewart, should she ever put it down.
Zach Penland plays him merrily with class and charming wit,
And woos us all by being himself, every little bit.

Those Frenchies, they are fabulous, as they sashay through their day,
Singing songs and eating bon-bons, caviar and pate'.
So tres belle are all of them, a vision to behold,
Decked in pink, and lavender and blue, silver and of course gold.
A talented group we all would say, and one fille really stands out,
Bailey Moore as our lovely Belle searching for her Beast about.

Strumming on her ukulele and enchants us with her stories.

I'd like to quote something that I posted on Rhianna the Troll's Facebook page back on October 21st, just before Pirate Adventure weekend:
Quote from: Rhianna the Troll on Facebook (October 21 at 10:32pm)
Alright, so I spent the week getting all my little faerie friends rounded up & bribed all the ones that ~weren't~ supposed to be on this "side" to go back to the faery world. I then told the pirates that we have treasure in the village...(evil laugh)... the Borgias can shoot me later! (Glad I am immortal! hahahaha).
Quote from: Me (October 21 at 10:56pm)
That was no lie to the Pirates, you know. You, and all the rest of the TRF cast _ARE_ the Treasure of the Village!
I thought Zach was playing James Stewart...
