WOW!!!!!

It wasn't hard to figure out who my secret Santa was, geez you kept giving HUGE hints - BubbleWright!!!!

Now mind you when the box arrived and I hefted it up to the nearest table and opened it, I saw this bag of marshmellows and then caught sight of the bubbles and my first thought was WTF?
Then it quickly dawned on my blondness that it was my Secret Santa package. Duh. Then I read the enclosed letter.
What a fantastic collection of goodies, from the faire maps and things (I love that map of Medieval England!), to the great marshmellow shooter. From the tins to the pin, coin, hell pass, tea, and oh my the smell of that gardenia candle is fantastic!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!

This is my second set of business cards from VistaPrint.  Ordering 1000 cards that have color printing on both sides, with my own photos and text layout, cost about $0.043 per card (including shipping).

I have this photo on the glossy front of the card:

I came home from work yesterday to find a box of goodies waiting at my door.  Lady Everclear, thank you so much for the wonderful presents!  The necklace, bracelet, and earings are beautiful, I love the CD, and the pin is amazing!  I am so honored to be gifted with such a treasured memento that already has such a rich history.  I greatly look forward to adding to that history and taking it on new travels.  Again, thank you!

You're quite welcome. I hope you like the scents. The wax will liquify when it is on the warming plate and when that happens you can remove the wick if you choose.... if you don't like burning them or if you aren't allowed to have flames where you use them (dorm rooms or work or such).

So all of the packages should have been sent this week.  Please let me know if you do not receive something in the next couple of days.  I know a few people had to send out after the deadline, which is just fine.  And if you did receive your gift(s) please make a point to thank your gifter either privately or in the post (which we all prefer so we know what cool goodies you received!). ;D

Wow!! I just got home for the holidays today after a tough semester and a grueling finals week, only to come home to find 2 packages and a letter. I opened one first and it was a beautiful necklace Rani Zemirah made that was commissioned by dbaldock! I love it so much, it's gorgeous and I know I'll wear it to faire and with everyday outfits all the time :)

So, I open the second, confused because I thought I had already gotten my gift exchange, the necklace, and the first thing I pull out was a renbabes calendar! It's so awesome, I saw a post about it a while ago and I'm not usually a calendar type person, but I thought to myself "this is THE calendar for me" and look at that, now I have one! Not only that, but dbaldock got it signed by almost every girl featured ;D Most awesome thing ever.

There was also a CD by Circa Palea which I have never heard but I've read good things about and I am excited to listen to them. You can never have too many faire CDs I think. And last but not least, I got a book about the Norman Conquest, which I shall start reading very soon, I just finished a course on Medieval History in Europe. The letter was a Christmas card from Lady Everclear with some amazing photos of her in garb along with a cute little favor pin. So thank you very much to dbaldock for all of my gifts and for commissioning the beautiful necklace by Rani Zemirah, and the Christmas card from Lady Everclear. It was very nice to come home from a long day of travel to some great stuff from great people :)

And is it ever yummy!!!  :D

When I got home from eating dinner this afternoon, I checked the mailbox - and there was a PACKAGE!

Thank you so much for the gifts ... the delicious smelling Fudge, the 365 Day New York Times Crossword Puzzle Calendar, the Pin, and the pretty Currier & Ives print Holiday Card.

I certainly wish you a Happy & Healthy Holiday Season, as well.

Evie McCann!!!
Thank you for all the wonderful gifts! I heard the mailman wrestling with something on the porch. I knew the tom cat was in, so it wasn't him..... ::)
I love the recipe book! Now I will have no excuse not to do some holiday cooking!
The wine glass is so festive! It is the right size too....large! LOL!  ;D
The wine mix will be used this weekend at my cousin's. We went wine trailing yesterday and bought wine for Christmas dinner. It will be a fun addition.
The cube note pad, will be so darn handy by the computer!
The lighted ornament, is so pretty! I have never seen anything like it! I have it hanging in our front window. {But, I think it goes in an empty wine bottle, right?}
Thank you again!
Merry Christmas Y'All!

Irish,

I'm glad you like the gifts. The lighted ornament is actually a wine bottle stopper. When you twist the ball and the black cork it does neat things. I want one for myself. We are going to try the wine mix this weekend for Christmas. Please tell me what you think of it when you try it. I'm so glad you like the glass! It's so cliched, but fun. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!

Oh!  It's here, it's here!!!  Just received my package from Tink, and everything is just... AWESOME!!!  We're listening to the Celtic Christmas cd right now, and Scally is playing with her Furry Frenzie on the kitchen floor and wearing her jingle bracelet (no fair... she ALWAYS gets stuff from my friends... lol)!  Can't wait to listen to the Irish Roses cd, and I just adore the Tree of Life necklace and all the bangle bracelets!  The runes, though... they're my absolute favorite!!!  Such beautiful design... I've never seen glass rune stones before!  I've actually been studying runes for almost 20 years now, and I find there is always something more to learn... and I've never been given a set before!  I'm soooo excited to use them!!!

The gifts are all just perfect, Tink!  How very thoughtful of you to include my little Scally Wag, as well...  :D

Oh, my goodness!!!  I set aside the large soft package so I could look at all the little things first... and just now realized I hadn't even opened it yet!  LOL  The scarf is GORGEOUS!!!  I LOVE the colors, and it's reversible, so it can match my mood AND my wardrobe!!!  Oh, thank you, Tink!!!

YAY!!!  I was a bit worried it wouldn't get there in time, but it did!

SOOOOO glad you are enjoying everything!  I knew Scally's ren hampster had run away, so I wanted her to have something to console her ;)

Funny story about the Irish Roses CD- I received the same one (after I had already chosen yours!)  I love that we all appreciate good music :D

I knew you studied the Tarot and Runes, so I was hoping the stones would be something you could use (I also thought they would at least go with your persona).

Well, they are, and they do!  I'm so excited about everything, and Scally is really happy that she was included, as well!  She's already named her new friend Rocky Raccoon, and "she" loves rock-n-roll (or so I'm told)!  :D

I got an extra large candy cane (I was just craving one! yum!) that I was tempted to eat right then and there, as well as the peppermint bark and Rudolph red hot noses, yumyumyum! The pomegranate candle is just perfect, too! And the Mark Roberts 12 Days of Christmas faerie is so adorable! Thank you so much, ferret! It really brightened my day!

I've got presents !

I am all excited my little heart is a flutter.

The mailman just dropped off a box. When I got a chance I opened it. And found two beautifully wrapped presents and a detailed letter with them.

I don't want to just tear them open and see what I got. I want to savor this and enjoy them when I can go over the letter and presents to give them the attention they deserve.

Definitely the best Christmas I've had in a long time and may ever have.

Thank you Rani !

I sincerely hope your holidays are as great as you made mine !

Not meaning to make you wait. You went to all that work and wrote such a nice letter, I wanted to enjoy all of the experience. And it's likely the only present I'll get, and I celebrate the Orthodox Christmas, and usually wait until after January 7th to open anything I did get.

And once I open them, it's all over.

So this may take some time.

I am confident your work will be greatly appreciated.

But... but... (sigh... I think I might be more of an impatient child than you when it comes to presents, particularly when it's something I've given!)  :D

I guess I should have enclosed the letter in an envelope, but I was so very conscious of the fact that you were waiting for your gifts to arrive, and I was so very late in sending them, that I didn't want to wait another moment to get them in the mail!  I did want you to know that there was a reason behind everything I included, however... even though the letter gave away the surprise.

I just hope my guesses were close...

Merry Christmas, Ferret, and Happy New Year, to!

And Merry Christmas to everyone else, as well!  I've had so much fun participating in this wonderful gift exchange, and I look forward to the next one!  Thank you all, so very much for being part of it, and adding your energy to this beautiful season!

It is now late afternoon, at work and finally had breakfast. So I thought it was a good time to celebrate my Orthodox Christmas with the presents Rani sent me.

I read her detailed letter explaining each gift and her work to make my presents very special.

My hunches were right. Rani sent me the best gifts I have ever gotten or may ever get.

As I opened them and ran my fingers over the work and looked them over and read the various inscriptions and studied the pictures. Well needless to say I'm a pretty happy camper right about now.

Thank you doesn't seem enough Rani, I hope you know how much I appreciate your gifts to me.

Thank you for making this the best Christmas ever !

Oh, Ferret... I'm so very glad you like them.  I was worried that I wouldn't be able to make something that would appeal to your interests, but I hoped trains were a fairly decent start, anyway.

If anyone is curious, I made him a train themed Memory box (http://www.facebook.com/album.php?fbid=120132544724195&id=114397271964389&aid=17933), using images of a local (to MN) historically significant railroad, and one that I was only hoping he might be familiar with.  There are pics of it on my facebook craft page, if anyone would like to see it.

I sent a couple of other things, some chocolate covered coffee beans and a small volume of selected poems by Poe, but the only other thing that I made myself was a miniature 3" x 3" leather bound handmade paper journal, with copper button closure, a tiny hand made leather wrapped "dip pen" (think quill pen, but without the feather) and a tiny corked glass bottle filled with India ink, wrapped with copper wire and attached to the journal by a silk cord.  Unfortunately, I forgot to take picture of it before I mailed it off...  :-\

I'm thrilled that you liked them, though, Ferret!!!  It's been very difficult for me to be patient while you waited for your Christmas to get there...  :P  :D
