Ambard will require internet access on an actual computer at some point during AHE weekend.
Anyone know how/where? We have a netbook, but do not know if there is wi-fi or what not. Would prefer not to leave the campgrounds if at all possible, although I suppose he could go to that library if all else failed.
Any thoughts?
Check with Lerxt and Riot! He might have a WiFi connection set up for work. He usually uses it when they come down to visit.
Sweeeeet.
Look into Mi-fis...I believe sprint, or one of the phone companies has a wi-fi puck, fits into your back pocket, suffice to say its small..no contract, pay monthly. offers cable speed wifi bubble that goes about about 150 feet...password protected...i think there is even a service that you can buy, just for situations liek this, wireless time on the network..not sure which company does that..it's used for people on weekends who are in non-hotspots.
Las Fuentes restaurant in Magnolia has free WiFi, great food, good prices, and they are Rennie Friendly. They won't freak out when you walk in wearing your garb and speaking BFA. You'll find me there every Sunday during faire unwinding after another whirlwind weekend. From the faire, go to Magnolia and turn left, rather than right to cross the tracks. Las Fuentes is about 1/2 a mile on the left.
McDonalds also has WiFi, but I always drive right on past.
Randal
I got her covered.
I believe the Magnolia Diner also has Wi-Fi. They are extremely ren-friendly.
I LOVE going to the Diner. We're lucky in participants. Someone on our row has set up an unsecured wireless network for some of us to borrow on occasion. I sit in my tent and get online before bed, sometimes catch something on Netflix.

*Makes note to bring directional wifi antenna to camp*
If you cannot find anything, head over to Mclot and ask for me. You can tether to my phone and use its 3G data. I'll have the USB cable to hook it up, its really easy. I use it all the time.
I used my Sprint wireless air card over the Pirates weekend. Not a great signal, but it worked.
Thank you everyone who offered help. Got online for 5 minutes and got my business done :)
