I am pleased to announce that Peter S. Beagle, author of the beloved novel The Last Unicorn, will be making an appearance as our guest booksigner @ Creative Life Booksellers, Booth #157, on Nov. 13/14. Mr. Beagle is a Hugo and Nebula award winner (the Oscar & Golden Globe for scifi/fantasy) and is the author of numerous novels, short stories, and screenplays. He is considered to be the gold standard in American fantasy by many of his fellow authors & is often ranked with Tolkein & C. S. Lewis.
Please join us & make Mr. Beagle welcome in our own little corner of fantasy that is faire.
what tIME!! Ive been waiting my whole life to meet him!!
OMG!!!!
Right now, we're looking at the major part of both days.
ravic, I may have to try and get with you to give you the case for our DVD. That's my hubby's favorite movie!
Mr. Beagle was the guest of honor at ApolloCon a few years ago, (maybe 2006)
Not many know that he wrote a popular episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation, titled "Sarek", and the screenplay for the 1978 Ralph Bakshi animated version of The Lord of the Rings.
He's a really nice fellow, I hope to see him at faire.
The Pink Pirate and I got to meet him last year at Scarby and chat with him for a while. He is a wonderful guy. We bought extra copies of his book and gave them as mommy/ daughter gifts to my sIL's and nieces. Best gifts we could have given them.
Will you have copies of the book for sale or should we pick one up beforehand?
(If you will have copies, hold one back for me... I will definitely be there)
*Maybe even get 'em to sign my rum bottle... for no reason... just because lol*
Mr. Beagle is dropshipping several cases to my doorstep. Should be enough for all.
i am so excited!! i feel just like a little kid!
Ravic, is there any way we can order a copy and have it signed? I would absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE to be there in person, but I won't be able to that weekend. I hate that I'm going to miss him, again (I wasn't able to go to Scarby when he was there, either :'( )
I'll see what I can do. No promises tho.
I understand, and thank you :)
When we bought books last time they ran out of them. But his manager worked it out so that for an extra 5 bucks they shipped them to us and signed the way we wanted them. Granted that was because they ran out.
Bumping this back up. This is generating lots of back channel comments.

Tink, see personal message
This is one of my very favorite books in the whole world, and it would be such an honor to meet the man who wrote it, and have him sign a copy of it for my daughter. So many wonderful things happen at TRF, and it's so hard to miss some of the really special ones... like this. I'm happy for those of you who will get to be there for it, though!
We got ours!! thanks so much for having him out there Ravic!
Made it out and got ours, plus one for a friend, plus the DVD
And the Lovely Lady Trinn was able to get a picture as well

And then went and bought another book from Ravic but forgot to get a picture with him lol.
*Gimme a break, the previous nights rum was still coursing through my viens... along with the mornings hot chocolate/rum drink*
Thanks to everyone that came out to support Mr. Beagle. He had a grand time, despite the cold, & wants to come back next year when it's warmer. He figures warmer means less clothes on the wenches. ;)
Well, maybe he could be convinced to come back for AHE next time... :D
Tell him it's usually lots warmer then! ;)
We bought ours - hope to read it to the little one soon (o:
