I'm looking for a "gold" circlet - more the solid type than the beaded type, to wear with or without a veil. Any good sources? I don't like the kind that dips in front, I want a straight-across style.
I'd really like to figure out a way to make my own out of some of the really cute metal headbands I've been seeing lately at claires, but I'm not sure how to get it to stay on...

I also made a plain circlet awhile back by bending a gold-tone craft hoop from a circle into an oval shape. Took some muscle to get it reshaped, but it works! I've worn it alone or over a sheer veiling for a few different events or shows.
You can also try google-ing circlets. Alot of pagan or witchy merchant sites might pop up, and don't discount them. Witches wear circlets as part of ritual...so that's a great resource!!
Check to see if the headbands from Claire's are actually metal or metallic plastic. If they are real metal, then shape to your forehead and if you still have a problem keeping it on drill a small hole at the ends and run a ribbon through. I've seen many a circlet that tied on with ribbon.
Here are some other resources I have in the Pennsic Merch Guide:

Hope this helps!!!!!
hmm...can you drill through metal with a regular drill bit? (I'm not very experienced at metalwork!)
Those links are very tempting, too!
Regular drill bits are made for drilling thru metal.
