Title: 2010 Christmas Candies
Post by: Drac on December 08, 2010, 08:41:21 PM
Here is the final product -

Just got to dip a few more caramel and toffee, box everything up and mail it out.

Added a couple different designs, flavors and techniques.  I am really liking the Scottie dog, plaid/tartan transfers and the orange speckled ones.  I have to replace some of my old molds next year as some of them are sticking from scratches.  It gives less than smooth, shiny finishes.

All goes well and somewhere from 48-55lbs of candy should be going out.

Those look FANTASTIC!

I'm making chocolates for gifts this year too, I hope they turn out half as lovely (and delicious!)

If you can make the emulsion for the truffle you would have no problems with the molding part.  Really, using molds to make shells is easy.  A little practice and they look like above.

Making dipped ones look good now that's a lot harder.  As you can see the caramel and toffee don't look all that good.

O Drac, that is just NOT right!!! I'm sitting here just drooling and having fits over here because I'm in serious need of a chocolate fix. The horror of it all just looking at those wonderfully tempting and sinfully delicious treats. Hope whoever is lucky enough to be receiving such wonderful goodies enjoys them. If not I'm sure there are a few drooling rennies that would be happy to get some next year ::)..... LOL

Have a Merry Christmas one and all!
