This year we will have a solstitial full moon AND a total lunar eclipse. If I have my facts straight this will only be the 9th time since 1793 that a full moon has occurred on the solstice - and pairing that with the lunar eclipse - well, that merits rising at 3 AM for a little sky watching, eh?
