Title: A little Medieval and a little rock n' roll
Post by: LadyMeg on December 18, 2010, 09:08:57 PM
cause I listen to rock and roll when I sew.  Anywho...  I've got a few questions for the enormously talented and well researched garb ladies out there.    So I threw together a sideless surcoat out of a bed cover found at salvation army.  It was such a great find.  Problem is...no clue what sort of headdress I'd make to wear with it.  Granted, the event I made this for is Monday, so...yeah...I'm a little nuts.  Also, neckline?  Is it good here?  Different cut?  Should I add some fabric made trim or leave as is?

please ignore the hem and shoulders.  They've haven't been dealt with yet.

Real quick, just roll some of the left overs for one of those tube head crown things (sorry I don't know what they're called!).  Like this...

Or a pretty chain across your forehead. A nice veil would look pretty too with a pretty necklace around in a circlet kinda set up
