What are the names and dates of faires in the Omaha, NE area for 2001? Something do-able from the Galena, IL area, between 4 to 5 hours away.
Our Galena group enjoys driving to different faires for the weekend (alas, if we go for more than 1 day, Steve can't go because of the restaurant, but Richard, Alan, Carol, & I have taken a few road trips without him).

Modified to say: I know there is a faire in Sioux City in October, but it usually falls the same weekend as Stronghold, in Oregon, IL. Stronghold is the "Bristol last huzzah," so we know we're not traveling out of state for another faire, because we go to Stronghold. It's a tradition!

Thanks for the help. We are 20 minutes from Dubuque, so Steve & I have gone there from the first weekend.
This year for Memorial Weekend, on the Sunday & Monday, the 5 of us are going to the St. Louis RF. Steve & I were there in 2009 but the others have never gone, so we've made plans for that weekend, so the Amana Colonies and Omaha won't work for this year.
We are in a "maybe" status for Des Moines. The first weekend is Bristol's closing weekend, but we had discussed going one of the other weekends, alas no Steve again, because we can't go & come back in 1 day.
I appreciate the info. There's always Memorial Weekends in the future!
midwest ren fest is great faire to go to, they are wonderful people. They try to do everything they can to help everyone out(MAY 28,29,30, 2011)

Midwest Pirate fest-Omaha-same place as the Nebraska fest-October.
DesMoines Renaissance Festival (3 weekends)
There are 2 vineyard Ren fests in eastern Ne/Western Ia both 1 day festivals.
