My Rogue and I have decided that this year, the one trip we will take will be to Dragon Con in Atlanta.
I was wondering if anyone from the board is planning on attending or has been before and would like to share their thoughts
I have been looking up hotels and everything within a 6 mile radius is basically sold out (even the $250/night+ hotels).
From what it looks like, we will have to stay somewhere 10-15 miles out and drive in everyday-i hope the commuting doesnt suck as much as I think it will.
Many folks who attend the big cons like this rely on shuttles to get them back and forth but there should be park and ride locations around the city with courtesy buses to Dragoncon for those who have to drive themselves.
Good Luck!
Good to know.
I'm sure its going to be a blast getting around downtown Atlanta in full get up:)
Livejournal has at least one community dedicated to finding rooms and roommates for Dragon*Con (I believe it's called dragoncon_rooms). There's a huge amount of roomsharing, swapping, and transferring that goes on.
Incidentally, should you decide to go again in later years, you'll want to check the date(s) the hotels become available and book as soon as they open on that day. I believe the Hyatt and the Marriott sold out in 20 minutes this year.
The good lady Stalkwell and I will be there. We have been going for over 10 years now. Hotels have to be booked the day they are available to get into the 4 or 5 main hotels. They don't accept reservations during the con. There are a few hotels within 3-5 blocks of the con that still have rooms, but you are typically talking $100-$200 per night for 4 people. Your other options are to book further out and ride the underground/rail system (MARTA). There is a Marta station less than a block from the main hotel (Hyatt). Check dragoncon.org for the list of overflow hotels. Be advised, parking at the hotels is extra ($15-25 per night).
Stalk well...
Thanks for the tip on the hotel parking Stalkwell.
Do you and your good lady have lifetime passes???
We are looking to book our hotel this week and are well aware we will be staying between 10-15 miles out.
Stalkwell, mind if I ask you a few questions?
-Do you garb at dragoncon or go in civvies??
-If you garb, do the town folk ever hassle you??
-Do authors charge for autographs??

Do you and your good lady have lifetime passes???
Unfortunately, no. Eternals are way up there in price. It would have been worth it way back then, but you need to attend at least 10 years now to break even.
Stalkwell, mind if I ask you a few questions?
-Do you garb at dragoncon or go in civvies??
Both. The wife goes in anything from civvies to ren garb to pirate to steampunk. I usually only go in civvies or steampunk. We shoot a lot, and garb is sometimes a game killer for the tight quarters we get into, but in the steampunk shoots it helps as camouflage.
-If you garb, do the town folk ever hassle you??
Absolutely not. They have too much fun laughing at the freaks to interrupt them ;)
-Do authors charge for autographs??
Some do, some don't. We at least tip for autographs. They usually have autograph row with an assigned schedule. Sometimes the authors are in the dealer's room seling their books, and autograph for free. Don't expect any freebies from the actors (unless you catch them in the elevator, we see Richard Hatch at least once every year somewhere in the halls).
Other tips:
- Be aware phones probably will not work in the catacombs. You will be 2 or 3 floors below ground in some cases, and not all of the hotels have repeaters.
- the food court is your friend at 11:00 p.m. Learn to run for food whenever possible.
- You will be nose to armpit crowded in there. Don't take it out if it can't be bumped or twisted or smacked.
- 60,000+ people. Plan ahead for the panels you want to see. Sometimes you wait in line for 2-3 hrs. for autographs or hot small panels.
- TAKE A CAMERA! And dump your media at the end of the day... if the camera is 'misappropriated', your shots aren't lost. We hear of at least 3 people each year (from the 2000 that we know there) that lose theirs and continue to whine about it for a whole year.
- Find the Daily Dragon for real-time con updates. You will miss a LOT unless you are on top of it.
- DragonCon TV is your friend. Some panels are televised live. The comedy is excellent.
- Ask the major groups there (DC, Star Wars, Steampunk, etc.) when their competitions and shoots will be. Most people miss seeing 100+ awesomely dressed super heroes posing in one place at one time
- Don't forget to sleep... you need at least 2 hrs. a day, usually between 5:30 and 7:30 a.m. ;D
Go see my website or the wife's equally awesome one for a preview...

Stalk well...
Stalkwell,
do you have any recommendations for hotels that are not downtown but manageable??
I am not finding anything decent available.
The only thing I found was a holiday inn express and the reviews for it were scary
"Don't forget to sleep... you need at least 2 hrs. a day, usually between 5:30 and 7:30 a.m."
Yes! I try to follow the 3-2-1 Rule at any con, get at least 3 hours sleep, 2 meals, and 1 shower per day!
Hehe
thanks
well after 5 hrs on the internet yesterday when I was supposed to be working I finally found us a hotel without breaking the bank, its a bit far so we might have to take public transport but it will still be cheaper than the $250/night at the sheraton.
I am very happy about it cause the stress of finding lodging was killing me.
Today they announced that Christpher Lloyd will be there- GREAT SCOTT ;D
Please come by and see me at the MechCorps Battletech set! I don't know where we will be yet, but we have plans to bring the pods again this year.
Auryn, Pirateleach is a regular at DC, and I'm sure you could pick his brain for all sorts of awesome info. He also happens to be a great friend, and I'm sure he would be an awesome party guide for after hours, as well! He lives in the area and has been attending forever, so he's familiar with the whole setup... I'll see if I can get him to come out of his cave for a few and post something here!
Glad to see so many coming to Dragon*Con this year! I'm looking forward to it! Luckily I know people who live down there so I have my lodging situation down. :)
Yeah, just one more reason for me to be green with envy this year... :P ;)
Im jealous CapnFaye but I cant complain cause I did manage to find a place that wont totally destroy our finances.
Rani,
I would love to talk to him, itd be much appreciated it. There is still time for you to save up and come too.
Our goal is really ot try and immerse ourselves in the whole vibe, make some new friends and party the night away.
Aiacha- I checked out your website and it looks awesome, please do let us know when you find out exactly where you will be located so we can visit.
I am on a rigorous work out regime right now to lose all the weight I gained last year so I can look relatively decent in my cheetarah get up (still trying to figure out how I got talked into that one) and maybe a Mord Sith outfit, if I get around to making it.
Capn, do you garb for DC or go in civvies?
I would LOVE to be able to go... but I'm trying to save up to move back to the mountains right now, and I doubt we'll even get to go to Faire more than once or twice this year...
I left him a message on here, but the last time he logged in was the 11th, so it could be a day or two before he even gets it... LOL
Oh... you should SEE some of CapnFaye's costuming!!! Especially her Firefly stuff... :D She ROCKS the cosplay cons!!! ;)
More good news Adam Baldwin aka Jayne cobb was just confirmed as a guest at DragonCon
Oh... SHINY!!! Gaaahhh... now I REALLY wanna go!!! Lucky!!! :o
I bet I know someone who will be dressing Kaylee!!! :D
hehe,
i wish you could go. itd be awesome to know someone there,
but I get it, I can see why the mountains are calling you back.
maybe after your settled in the mountains
Maybe so... although if gas prices don't go back down then I may not be doing much traveling at all, ever again... I've wanted to do Dragon Con for years, though! Of course, knowing someone there doesn't help me much, since he always stays in the hotel so he doesn't have to drive at all! LOL
I've lived just about 20mins south of Atl. and have all my life. I'm also a huge geek.
I've never been to DragonCon.
Many years back I used to want to go very much. But then I went to a few comic and anime cons (other folks' ideas). My desire to go to DragonCon has immensely lessened.
Perhaps if it were free. Or in a time of the year that wasn't still incredibly hot. Or if I didn't hate and wasn't terrified of highway travel. Or if most geeks knew how to bathe. Maybe then I'd go.
And no doubt you would find endless things to hate about it. But then, that's just you...

Or maybe I see it simply as far more trouble than it's worth and as this is a thread about it and other people are presenting their views/experiences, perhaps I assumed it was acceptable to voice mine.
I mean, seriously, have you
smelled been to a convention during humid, summer weather before?
Have you
almost been killed a billion times in a few miles driven in Atlanta traffic before?
I understand that you prefer to give the negative opinion... no matter what it is you are commenting on, so I wouldn't expect anything else. All I was saying is that I am sure you would hate it even if it were free, and in November... and everyone were required to bathe before attending. And even if no one else was allowed to drive then except you. If someone is predisposed to dislike something, then nothing will change their mind...
However, there are thousands of people who DO enjoy it... and I would imagine their opinions hold weight, as well.

Surprise! There are things I like, things I love, as well as things I do not. How did that happen? Oh, that's right. I'm human.

That sounds perfectly awesome, actually.

Waitaminute. So, since there are people with opinion, they can voice theirs?
Unless it's one you dislike, I guess.
Or rather, to you the plural of opinion is fact?
Well, then, you're forgetting about the far greater number of people who
don't enjoy it and
don't go. Woops.
But, hey, whatever. Sorry I didn't echo the exact same thing others did and gave an opposing viewpoint. Also, sorry about your one-sided...whatever it is. But, if it's what you like, then I'll let you win all the internets. Now, you can pump your fist in victory and be awesome. I owe you a Coke.
Eric, I never denied your right to do anything, at any time. I just pointed out that you never seem to like... well, anything that anyone here posts about, at all. And you seem to want to rain on whatever parade is in town.
Whether you ever go to any con or not makes no difference to me, whatsoever, and if you feel it absolutely necessary to spread heavily negative opinions everywhere then you have fun with that... just don't seem so surprised when someone points out how little it really matters to them that you want to dampen their anticipation of a special event.
Well, I honestly didn't mean to threadcrap. That's why I was confused that you seemed to get your nose outta joint. I tried to put it as diplomatically as I could and still express my views 'bout it. :-\
All view points are appreciated but itd be lovely if you guys would quit the bickering before the thread gets closed. ;)
I'm sorry, Auryn.
Eric, I was less than diplomatic in my response to you, and I regret that. I know better than to post when I'm agitated about something, and I need to remember the 10 minute rule...
Auryn, I've been trying to get my friend to log on here, but he's been busy lately, so he hasn't had much time. I did tell him about the thread, though, and sent him a link to it in renmail, so whenever he next gets online hopefully he'll jump in here. I'm not even sure how many times he's been to DC, but he's been going every year for a long time, so I'm sure he'll have a tip or two to offer. Particularly about the party scene... lol.
What I wanna hear about is your costume choices! Do you know what you're going to wear yet?!?
Thanks for the effort Rani, itll be nice to get the point of view of a frequent DC attended.
As of right now the only thing set in stone is Cheetara. I am going to do a more edgy cheetara which is requiring me to lose about 20 pounds (which I have been meaning to lose for the last year) so that I will feel comfortable wearing a skin tight copper outfit. I am going to start designing the leather next week.
Other than that I am debating between a Mord-Sith red leather suit or something out of the Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland. If I do Alice I am leaning towards the red poofy dress she wears as Um.
I have a steampunk costume that I have been working out in my mind since last fall but haven't decided if I will undertake it or not.
I am only going to do 2 outfits so I need to make up my mind.
Ummmm... yeah...
and, uhhhh...
... what was the question, again? :o
I think there should definitely be a pic thread for this stuff!!! ;) ;D
Oh, geez... ::) After ogling those pics I completely forgot that I was going to say... I've been hot for Steampunk for ages now, and I'd probably want to do something with that, but if you've got the figure for either Cheetara or a Mord Sith... then I vote for those!!! ;) :D
There's a chance we will go this year. Really hoping to be able to make it.
photogo,
keep us updated.
Maybe we can organize a rennie meet up at dragon con
So as of today I am still moving forward with the Cheetara costume (including the workout regime that it requires)
but I am torn between going mord sith or steampunk.
My main source of consternation is how uncomfortable is the mord sith costume going to be. Considering its going to be all leather, even if I wear compression clothes underneath that help to keep cool Im wondering if I will be able to handle wearing it for 10 hrs.
The other option is to go with an altered mord-sith get up that was shown briefly in the tv show. Seems like it would be a little cooler (temperature wise)

For those of you that have gone to Cons for multiple days, is it realistic to want to wear a different costume each day?
Quote from: Auryn on March 24, 2011, 12:19:25 PM

Different costume each day? At D*Con, it's reasonable to want to change halfway through the day! I was working and I still brought two costumes, but to be fair, the Magenta one was only for Rocky.
Oooh, and that backless one looks like it could easily be accessorized for Steampunk! Especially if you wanted to go Loli...
I've talked to people who change for almost each event, so multiple costumes is not just realistic, I think it's pretty common.
hmmm
so how do you carry around costumes if your not a vendor (with booth space to hide your stuff) and not staying in one of the main hotels??
hmmmmm
Hmmm... that could pose a problem. I wonder if any of the hotels would have some sort of paid valet or check service (like coat check, only for baggage) for registered con guests? Might be worth looking into.
There were pic fro wizardworld Chicago? of a dressing room set up by the con. would be great if DragonCon had one.
That would be awesome if they had a dressing room. Though I am sure the line for that would be around the building too.
I'm still trying to decide wether to go mord-sith or steampunk, or both in addition to cheetara.
I have a couple of days to decide because I need to get cracking on the outfits.
I found the perfect mord-sith boots yesterday at $35 with tax (and they fit perfect) compared to the $250-300 they go for online. I just would have to cover them in leather.
That right there would decide me... LOL I would totally have to Steam up that modified Mord Sith corset thing, though... just so I had something that would do double duty. It could look completely different with a bustled skirt, jacket and accessories, and if you wanted to go more industrial then the neck guard/shoulder armor fits right into Steampunk! Why settle for one or the other when you could have both, and with interchangeable pieces?!? ;)
damn you are smart
I wouldn't have thought of that
ohhhhh the wheels are spinning
Heheh... Why, thank ya', ma'am! ;)
Can't WAIT ti see what you come up with!!!

I have friends that do 3-5 hall costumes per day, they bring a rolling clothing rack and two bellman's carts full of crap to every con.
Zardoz, do you know how they secure them during the day if they aren't staying in the hotel where the con is?

They are always in the host hotel. Truth be told, the 5 change sort of thing is easier to do at local cons with 4 or 6 hundred people around, than something like Dragoncon where 50% of your day is waiting in lines. At Dragon or one of the big ComicCons they might do one for breakfast, and another for the afternoon, maybe a fancy one at night, or if there's a contest. I'll add that unless they want to do the MIB thing or renfaire outfits, I limit my participation in that madness to making them rayguns and stuff!

Yes... I was guessing that might be the case. We're trying to brainstorm ways that Auryn and her beau can make changes during the day without schlepping luggage around with them all day, and without having to drive and find parking in the crazy traffic, since they will be staying some miles away from the con hotel.

Of course...you're right, and I knew better. I hadn't finished my first pot of coffee yet when I said that, and was still a bit groggy...
Hehehe
awesome pics Zardoz
thanks for sharing them.
As of right now (its like 5 months out so Ill change my mind a thousand times between now and then) realistically its going to be one outfit per day, and Ill carry a bag with a change into civies as I am sure that my 4"heel mord-sith/cheetara boots are going to get tiring.
FWIW, the good Lady stalkwell and I usually have 1 outfit per day, but on some days for the SP pageant and shows we change into someting SP'ish for short term. The rest of the time we have civvies on... it's just too dense to shoot with real garb/costumery on AND have camera gear to protect. She has found that changing outfits consumes up to half of the con time if you let it... just getting back to the host hotel, reconfiguring, and getting where you want to be can take 1-2 hrs.. If you do plan on elaborate or fabric intensive outfits (SP/Victorian/full body suits), it gets pretty hot in many places there. There can be a very high density of people, so don't let yourself get overheated. Water is your friend, and they usually provide it with ice for free outside of the panels and main rooms. Just remember, what goes in must come out, and that can also make for a half hour diversion in garb.
As for the check room, I don't recall the main hotels having any such accommodations for non-guests. They will check luggage in a hold room if you are checking out, but that is the extent of it I think.
I would suggest making good friends with someone you know that is in one of the host hotels. We usually have 2 or 3 rooms (in different hotels) as our base of operation, and stash gear at all of them. Our friends do likewise... sometimes stashing stuff at the hotel we are in for a quick change. Multiple extra keys are not an issue for most of the hotels.
Stalk well...
We definitely plan on making friends there, itd be awesome to meet some of the fine folk from this forum.
Bit of good news, the base of my Cheetara costume came in today so i can start working on everything that goes with it.
It also means I need to start working out harder but I knew that was coming, just denying it till the last possible moment.
On the down side, if I want to make the mord sith costume authentic by using the same buckles they use, its gonna cost me $110 just for the dang buckles, thats as much as I am spending on a 50sqft hide of garment leather- crazyness. Im still trying to decide if its worth it.
Does it have to be completely authentic? Can't you use something close? And have you looked for them on ebay?
well originally I was going for authentic, but now that I know how much they are, im going for alternatives.
They aren't available on ebay because they are only made by a couple of foundries in Europe.
So either the exchange rate or the shipping kill you.
I just can't bring myself to spend that kind of money on buckles so I've started looking for alternatives- Since the bulk of the leather work is going to transfer over to other things, Im going to have fun with the buckles.
Sorry I didn't see your question til just now...
I'm going in costume to D*C... LIKE A FIEND! I have a LOT of costumes I plan on bringing, and hopefully I'll walk with the Browncoats in the parade...if I remember to do it. I have a pink fluffy layer cake that needs to be shown off! :D My list of probable costumes for D*C this year are as follows:
- Kaylee (Firefly)- Green teddy bear coveralls
- Kaylee's Fluffy Layer Cake Dress
- Kaylee's BROWN coveralls
- Misa Hayase (Lisa Hayes) - Robotech/Macross
- Super Sailor Neptune (Sailor Moon)
- Rose Tyler - Christmas Invasion Outfit (Dr. Who)
- Rose Tyler - Pink Dress (The Idiot's Lantern)
- Probably other variations of Rose Tyler - I have a lot of her stuff.
- My pirate/wench wear
- Possibly a noble gown...depends on how much room I have in the car x_X;
WewT!!! Kaylee ROCKS!!!
Cap't Faye, are you staying in the Con hotel, or even one within walking distance? If so, you and Auryn might be able to make some sort of arrangement where she and her beau could stash a costume change with you and make a change at some point while you're doing the same...
(sorry, not meaning to put you on the spot, just trying to help find a way for them to be able to do more than 2 costumes for the whole weekend)
Cap't Faye, Misa Hayase ! :D Which uniform?

how do you do it??
How do you find the time to get in and out of all those costumes and see the things you want to see at con??
I'm having issues doing just three costumes (well my main issue is a hair issue at the moment) but still
thanks for the pic renfairephotog- itd be awesome if DC had something like that, Maybe I will email them and ask.
Actually I'm either going to stay at the friends house or I'm going to buy room space from a friend at a host hotel...
Auryn, I'm really good at changing in parking lots, bathrooms, anywhere I can. I have no shame (I blame faire and con! ;D)

Just wanted to reliven up this thread in case someone else decides to join the dragoncon bandwagon
im going to go ahead and start freaking out now because there are only 65 days left.
As it stands I doubt I will be attending in mord sith gear as I haven't even started working on it- I spent all the money on all the supplies but just havent managed to start yet.
Im still working on cheetara and steampunk.
Thankfully my steampunk weapons, pants, boots and hair are finished
just have to work on the shirt, jacket and goggles.
I should have cheetara finished by this weekend- crossing fingers.
So anyone else gonna join?
Still jealous... and still can't wait to see all your cool/amazing/awesome costuming!!! Too bad about the Mord Sith... but I totally understand the whole timing thing. Doesn't mean you can';t still make it and wear it next year, though! And for Halloween... and casual Fridays... and whenever your bf gets a little... uppity. ;) :D
Hehe
ya I still totally plan on making it
especially since theoretically I am going to start riding the motorcycle- I just think it would look totally awesome - a mord sith decked out in all red leather getting off of a jet black motorcycle hehe
plus that way its more protective then wearing jeans- at least thats the excuse im using.
Oh im totally gonna warn him about getting uppity now hehehe
Ooooh... sexy!
You have to finish the chain flogger first, though! ;) heheh

Good grief woman, how do you manage all those costume changes and still see everything you want to see??
All I have on my costume repertoire for this year is steampunk and cheetara.
I ran out of time to make the mord sith.
What days are you going to be there??
We are planning on getting there thursday afternoon/evening and leaving sunday morning (with an obligatory stop at trader joes since we don't have any in florida)
It's looking like Thursday through Tuesday, depending on who I ride with.
There must be foodage together at some point, as a group possibly! :)
We are flying in on Thursday night and flying home on Monday, staying at one of the overflow hotels.
I've only go plans for three days:
Looking like Steampunk/Western Brothel Madam on Friday, Umbrella Corp on Saturday, and comfy pirate on Sunday. :-)
Make sure that you and RtB find the steam punk herd on Friday... you might be able to sign up for parade on Saturday as one of the contingent. The parade was up to about 40 minutes as of last year. The more parade there is, the more I get to shoot ;)
BTW...
Here's a taste of D*C...
Stalkwell's Dragon*Con Stuff (http://www.stalkwell.com/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=1344)
there is a folder for steamy goodness here...
Brassy Goodness (http://www.stalkwell.com/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=17993)
I will separate the D*C Steam from there and migrate it to it's own folder shortly.
Stalk well...
OH we all definitely need to get together at some point.
We are staying at the holiday inn overflow hotel
Are any of you guys going to be walking in the parade??
I just signed us up this morning, most likely we will be in the superhero section since we are doing comic book/cartoon super heroes
As of right now our plan is to do super heroes in the morning, go back to the hotel for lunch and a shower and do steampunk for the afternoon/evening

Parade is on Saturday right?
I'm not quite sure yet, I might. Depends on if I can get together with the rest of the Umbrella Corp from the main outpost that are going to be there. I'll be doing Umbrella Corp all day that day.
Parade starts at 10:00 a.m.. Muster is at LEAST 1/2 hr. prior. That way you can settle in and meet a couple people to boot. Muster is at the far end of the route, about 4-5 big blocks march away, half is up hill. Leave time for transit. Think of it as organized chaos... that is why we usually try for muster around 09:15-09:30. Expect to be marching for 30-45 minutes, mostly down hill.
Temps will be 80-90 degrees by 10 in the morning, take water if you can. There are NO provisions at muster other than what you bring. If you are shooting, the crowd really packs the sidewalk densely. You need a perch way early for a good line of sight, and even then people will try to roost right in front of your camera. And remember that your badges are quite visible against your outfits... you may want to hide them after the parade has started, unless you are wanting to advertise D*C. They can totally blow an otherwise excellent motif. Post processing out a badge is a real bear for the purists (just call me anal ;))
Sign up this year appears to be different, on the website they suggest you sign up before Aug 20 if possible.
Stalk well...
Yup parade is saturday
thanks for the tips on set up times Stalkwell, I guess we should plan on being there by 9:15 that way we aren't rushed.
I am signed up on their parade yahoo group, you have to sign up by august 20th as they will not be taking any signups at Dcon. Apparently they have had so many people march that they are cutting it off early.
If anyone wants the link to the yahoo group or instructions how to sign up by email let me know.
Thanks for the tip on the badge, I will make sure ours get put away when it starts- I don't know where I will stick it in a skin tight spandex suit but I will figure it out :)
You will stick it somewhere in your bf's garb, of course! ;) heheh
Ya problem is he will be wearing skin tight spandex too
Ummm... yeah, I got nothin'.
Edit: Oh, wait!!! Aren't you wearing boots? Ta-da!!! ;D
I'm looking forward to Dragon*Con too. I'll be wandering around taking pictures.
I'll be in civilian clothes ....no spandex. See? That's how much I love you guys!
So turns out I'm gonna be able to make it! Yaaaay! I'll be rocking out Ramona Flowers style the whole time. Mostly cuz that will cost me no more than like $30. I need to make myself a new subspace purse and I have to get hair dye. Other than that I have everything from Halloween. I'm super excited.
The party list just got updated http://dailydragon.dragoncon.org/dc-2011/2011-parties-shout-outs-lost-found/parties/
We might do the convoluted ABC party friday night- gotta figure out an outfit for that
We are definitely going to the Evening in Bree or the masked ball- ideally both
For saturday night havent decided yet wether to do the carnival night or the MMO party
Auryn, I just started looking at all the stuff for the parties each night. Holy crap, SO MUCH TO DOOOOOOOOO.
I have no idea where or what I want to do yet. ???
Well we are definitely NOT doing the ABC party.
Apparently its a private party in someone's room with a heavy emphasis on drinking alcohol, and that just makes it creepy to me.
Anyone interested in meeting up and going out to dinner all together thursday night??
The evening in Bree and the masked ball are definites for us
Just a few more days now.
We are driving up in the middle of the night wed/thu.
When is everyone else going to be there?
Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow! Cannot wait!
Ron and I will be getting into ATL at around 10 PM tomorrow. We're staying at one of the hotels near the airport.
I'll be in a Western/Steampunk brothel madam look on Friday so I'll keep my eye out for you Auryn.
Saturday, I'm marching in the parade as an Umbrella Corp.
SOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!
OK, Hilton Atlanta, downstairs in the gaming room (go into the hotel, past the elevators, down the escalator) and say hi to the MechCorps guys for me! And get your picture with a pod. Tell them 'cause I say so! hehe
So how did it go for everyone??
It took me a full week to recuperate.
Aiacha, I wish I had seen your post but we were driving by the time you posted this.
We marched as steampunk- had a little malfunction with my heroe costume aka- I woke up at 8 and it takes me close to 3 hours to get ready so it was march as steampunk or nothing.
