We're less than a week away now and need to start planning tailgate!
I plan to purchase a table within the next week so that the trunk of my car isn't covered in sausage gravy like last year (darn you messy eaters!).
As many of you know, each person/couple should bring something to share. Make sure you bring something everyone can share (i.e. don't bring a single piece of fruit or half a bottle of libation to "share"). Hearty breakfast foods are encouraged so that the later liquor will be absorbed and no one takes a nap on the berm of shame.
List below what you will be contributing to the morning tailgate.
**Here's a hint - if you plan to tailgate both days, it is smart to make/buy everything at once so you don't have to prepare/shop after a long Saturday at faire!).
Tailgate List:
Kate: sausage gravy and biscuits
Jessi: sausage
Amber: mini muffins
Iain: OJ
I will have breakfast sausage, maybe something more. It depends on how many of the family come with me.
MUFFINS!!!
I'm making them as mini muffins this year so easier to eat ;D And I have already stocked up on supplies so I will have them every day, every weekend ;)

Jessi! it will be great to see you guys again!
I'm planning to bring a bottle of Irish Cream for the coffee drinkers. Let us know if we need to pick up something else.
I have no clue. :-\
It will be great to see you too, Kate. I can't wait to see everyone!
Looks like it will be me and the 2 oldest at tailgate. Keith and the munchkin will come out later.
Amber, what kind of muffins are you making? My oldest suggested the same because we have the stuff for blueberry.
either lemon poppy seed or a strawberry type.
My wife and I plan to be there Saturday and bring fresh-squeezed Florida orange juice.
Awesome! Fresh squeezed is MUCH better for mimosas! :)
Scratched my muffin flavors... I'm making cranberry orange muffins :D
I May bring a pot of coffee or two :) i will find something to bring... too bad i don't have any more home made mead my brother is moving back here to florida so he is gonna teach me to make it and i will have some of my own homemade mead for next year.
I think most of us have gotten to where we bring our own coffee in the morning since everyone drinks it so differently. I know I'm a picky coffee drinker.
Well, my wife informs me that the orange trees, after a very rough winter for them, are almost tapped out. We'll try to bring home-squeezed, but at the very least, we will bring orange juice.
(Drat. Fresh, home-squeezed orange juice is one of the things I love about Florida winters.)
My orange tree doesn't look to be producing much this year either, but I will have some fresh oj. Just not as much as I would have liked.
I'm not that picky. Bring coffee!
Well, I can be very picky about coffee. But not if someone else is providing it. :)
And there's good news on the orange juice front. Went out and massaged the trees a bit, and now we have enough fruit to bring fresh-squeezed. (You gotta massage the trees at night, or the neighbors think you're nuts. Aw, who am I kidding? They already know I'm nuts.)
i will also be bring sugar at least on the side and some creamer if i have it so you can all mix it yourselves!
I'm bringing a lot of fruit. Does anyone have preferences? Bananas, pineapple, strawberries, etc? We can also bring pastries, or pop tarts, donuts. Suggestions? Wanna make sure everyone is covered.
Also, Lady D. I'm VERY partial to your sausage burritos. I'm willing to contribute to the sausage burrito making fund, if you're willing to make 'em still.
<--- is making sausage gravy as always. Someone could just bring tortillas if they wanted....
I'm a pineapple fan! :)
Pineapple sounds great.
I'll try to remember to bring some paper plates as well.
Strawberries!
With all of Julia's posts I keep thinking I'll see her tomorrow!
You crazy lady! We MISS YOU!
and I can't wait to see all of you tomorrow morning for the first tailgate of the 2011 BARf season!
I miss you, too! I wish you all a wonderful day tomorrow, and I WILL SEE YOU SOON!
;D
Strawberries are Aidans Favorite! of course he then may eat them all ::)
We like strawberries and pineapple. I am also bringing either blueberry mini muffins or banana bread. The kids are making the final decision when they get home.
So is this party starting around 8?
Amber, Rowan wants to know if Ella will be there tomorrow?
Yes she will! ;D

shiner bock,..... I forgot to take poictures
That's ok. Others did not forget and you are in a great many of them. You were having a marvelous time, I can attest to that. I made sure to keep you cool, fanning you and our Captain through most of the day. Next time, I'll have to remember those grapes! ;)
No, the pictures are of a very, very sick Kate. Thankfully I'm feeling better because if I look that pathetic this week I'm avoiding ALL cameras!
Kate, I hope you are feeling better, but you couldn't look bad, if you tried.
:-*
Aww, thanks Julia! :)
She's right. I thought you looked great in all the pics. :-*
