A customer at work dropped off a box of fabric samples she had from when she was an interior designer. The samples are upholstery fabrics. The biggest squares are 15.5" x 18", and the smaller ones are 11" x 12 1/2". There are maybe, I don't know, 50 or so in different colors, textures and patterns. I've pulled out a few for small bags or something, but I don't want the rest to just sit around. I thought maybe someone who made dolls or smaller crafts could do something with them. Would any of you be interested in them? I can mail a small handful in an envelope, or a larger amount in a small box.

That would be perfect for a nice quilt...
I was thinking the same thing.
I recently had a friend give me about 2,786 of those things! Plans include: quilt, pillow, bodice, choli, rug, hat, bag, pouch, it's endless! :o
There is a textile store her that specializes in high end weddings and the annual redecorating of the king's castles around here. Last time I dropped by to purchase leftovers, she pressed a couple of boxes of samples on me and I found that some make nice goblet covers once hemmed and weighted with beads ^_^

oooooo...Pouches!
A patchwork tent?
Huh... I didn't think of quilting... I guess I could make them into dog beds for the greyhounds. I was just trying to get them out of my house, I'm in spring cleaning mode, lol : )
I'll bite. I need some new belt pouches. ;D
oooh, yay! PM me your color / fabric preferences and how many squares; and also your address. I'll get them out this week. :)
I'll take some - our three year old daughter is begging me to teach her how to sew. These would be great for her to learn about textiles and fabric textures and hopefully sew a little purse with her.
I would happily take any and all that are left off your hands. They would be perfect for the handkerchiefs that I make. :)
okay, you two, pm me your addresses. I will get these in the mail probably Thursday, the day after tomorrow. :)
