Title: Neck Gussets
Post by: Sorcha on April 01, 2011, 08:52:23 AM
Yes...  I feel like a complete dork.  I am having trouble understanding the instructions for Margos High Necked Men's Shirt.  I know!!  Complete eyeroll.  Again with this topic! ::)
I have read Baroness Doune's page, which I think probably has the best written instructions.
I have read the Margo's instructions of course.  Which I find lacking in detail.
I have searched here, which led me to Margo's forum.  And upon searching there, it referred me back to the Baroness site again.
The search here also directed me to the Elizabethan Costuming Tribe which had pictures??  When I did a search there, I found no pictures.  <sigh>

I am a completely visual learner and pictures are what I really need.  I think combined with the Baroness fabulous text, I'm sure I can do it but <sigh>
Anyone have any pictures of the steps or know where some might be posted?

OK, what part about the neck gussets are you struggling with?  I sewed a few shirts for Colonial reenactor friends that used the neck gussets... I might be able to muddle you through it.

Give me a call if you like.  :)

Okay...  Had DH read the words and I deciphered the sewing terms.  I think we got it.
I'm just not sure I did it right.
Someone have a picture of a finished gusset right and wrong side??

Thx MG! <smooches>
