Since it seems my dept is oblivious to what today is...
I just want to take a moment to all of you to say thank you for all of your hard work. Keeping offices organized, keeping supplies in stock, answering phones, answering all the stupid questions that get forwarded to you, being a therapist, maintaining some calm in the chaos, herding cats...
The business world would fall apart without us, even though they don't realize it!
Have a great "Administrative Professionals" Day!
Huzzah to all of us who the bs runs down hill onto
Indeed! A rare breed, we are. Here's to all the whipping boys (and girls!), the go-fer's, the do-dirt's... They should have an entire month for us! lol...
The company it's self surprised all our MA"s with an extra day off. Won't count again's our alloted one, just a personal day to take when ever we want. :)
Wow! That's awesome, Lady Stitch! Nobody said a word to me here. They'll recognize the nurses & techs, but not the secretary who keeps scheduling the cases they do.... ::)
My team was going to be out today, so they had a surprise thank you breakfast Monday morning. Then another group that I help out alot, got me starbucks this afternoon when they went. Just a little thank you for what I do for them.
My company is really taking care of their admins. They discovered how much we actually do for the company, and how if the powers that be listen to some of our suggestions we could save the company ALOT of money. It is nice that we are recognized for what we actually do for them. They even did a company wide poll asking what kind of "thank you's" we would want most, and they listened :) I will say I have very happy and like where I work.
With all the 'fertilizer' we go through every day it is nice to know that what we do is noticed, and appreciated. ;D
That is indeed rare. The company that I used to work for had a saying "we appreciate all that you", then would turn around and lay off 237 to 350 of those same people. I would like to be present in public when that phrase is issued so I can walk up and spit in the persons face.
