I wanted to tell Lady Oren that my new shoes arrived and I love them!
But I can't find her listed as a member any longer.... ???
AFAIK, her user name is now LadyOren (http://www.renaissancefestival.com/forums/index.php?action=profile;u=328).
Hi Everyone, Yes I'm still alive, kicking I'm not sure about LOL. Thanks DonaCatalina, It was a pleasure serving you again. I'll be spending the rest of tomorrow catching up the emails and forum questions. Thanks for all your prayers while I was away working!
I bought mine weeks ago for MIRF and I just waterproofed them yesterday. I LOVE THOSE BUGGERS! I thought I would need inserts, but the socks do the trick and they are thicker than my mocassains, which surprised me. I will have a comfortable Ren Faire season in them and next year, I'm getting another pair. Not that I expect this year's to have anything happen to them, I like choices.
If I thought I could get away with them at Pow-Wow, I would wear them there, but no chance. Drat it all anyway.
lady oren,
back in 2003 i bought turnshoes from you. loved them and bought 2 more pair.
i'm seeing people on my facebook page inquire as to who they can find for landsknecht shoes. i've also occasionally spoken to others who have similar questions.
are you still making/selling shoes? how would someone contact you? i doubt most of them are on this list.
thanks!
sionn, the lost
Lady Oren went through some bad times a year or so ago ... not sure of all the details, but the results were she took a lot of orders (and payment) for shoes, but never delivered shoes or refunds. She doesn't answer emails.
Word got around that she would send refunds if you contacted her -- but I've never seen mine.
I agree -- I loved her shoes; wish her business ethics were at the same level.
I don't think she is still making shoes. But if you're looking for comfortable, wonderful shoes, send a renmail to Lady Nicolette on this forum. She & Keith have a shoe business called Heart & Soles.
I bought my first pair of shoes from them in Tampa in March. Just bought my second this weekend in MN. I told 3 of my friends about their shoes. One friend bought a pair, another friend bought a pair, and the third friend bought 2 pairs, which she will take on her trip to Italy next week.
They're THAT comfortable.
Good luck! ;D
I love mine, Renee. I am wearing them right now.
