This is a shot in the dark...but hey.... worth a try.
I ordered a sword and it appears it will be here much sooner than expected... and I have no baldric or any way of carrying it.

I was thinking of going to Tandy leather tomorrow and getting some stuff to make a simple baldric so i can carry this in the parade this weekend.
ANY ideas are welcome.... ANY at all.
Making a baldric and frog that even comes close to looking good will take more time than you have. Simple solution, since the sword comes with rings on the scabbard all you need is a belt heavy enough to hold the weight and some very heavy
rawhide, maybe even double or triple looped and tie it through the rings and then to the belt. It should give you enough strength to carry it for the weekend until you can find a baldric and frog.
