I'm bouncing up and down in my chair, excited about RenDezvous!!
I'm wondering what other people are doing to get ready for this weekend.
I'm sewing new outfits for myself and Ms. Trish. :)
Tanning my hide (don't want to get scorched out there!). :-[ (that's supposed to be sunburned) lol
Exercising my liver. :-X (no vomiting)
Running to improve my lung capacity so I can breathe in the mountains. ??? (yeah, that one's lame)
How 'bout you?!
Ummm... RenDezvous isn't this weekend.
At least if it is...I got my plane tickets for the wrong day.
However... what I am doing to get ready for it is... mapping out the places I want to go to like the Pirate exhibit at the museum... Cog train to Pikes peak... liquor store... King Soopers to get discount tickets and 2 days at the faire ! ! !
Oooo... Friday nights meet and greet too!

To clarify for the confused...
"this weekend" referring back to the previously mentioned RenDezvous weekend.
Next time, I will prepare slides and a flow chart for you. ;)
*edited* Should've put in a smiley to accentuate the jest
Everyone be nice, please. Remember that what you say can sound different than you perhaps mean it when it's in writing.
*I* get to crack the whip at MG on the sewing projects! It's really got to be the best part. Plus all the moral support, right sweetie? :)
MG, the exercising to improve lung capacity will probably put you in far better shape to enjoy this Faire than most of us who are visiting will be! Especially since it's "all uphill", as they keep saying... :D Lots of people are going to be stunned by how out of breath they will be just from walking a few feet uphill, and I think your idea is one of the most sensible suggestions I've heard so far!
That's why we put liquid refreshment booths about every 25 feet or so....
Going to rehearsals for six hours every Saturday! ::)

You have to practice being the Baron?? You do it so very well!

Gasp! Rani, did you just say I was "sensible"?! The horror! Quick, let me run with scissors! LOL ;) ;D

Might want to drink inappropriately for a good solid hour, as well!!! Y'know, just to make sure it doesn't happen again... :D
I don't suppose "prudent" would be any better, huh? Oh, I know!!!
Brilliant!!! Absolutely
BRILLIANT idea, MG!!! ;)

You are entirely too kind, Beautiful Lady. But you have made my day, nonetheless. :D
Thank you, Rani. That is much better. ;D
It should be noted that I wore very unprudent (is that a word?!) shoes all day. 4 inch wedge heals in a marvelously unsensible burnt orange color with large rosettes on the top. I did not, however, consume any alcohol. Dang it. Will have to try again tomorrow. ;)

I'll be boozing you up on Thursday, but I think you're on your own for tomorrow.

(sigh) Tsk, tsk... whatever shall be done with you? Perhaps tomorrow you should endeavor to wear something in, ohhh...
poppy, maybe? Preferably an
actual poppy... in.. your..
hair!!! Yes... that's it! I think that might do nicely! Oh, and make sure you wear it
while drinking something tall, with fruit, lots of booze,
and a paper umbrella!!! Yes, yes... I think that might be
just the thing! ;D
Wouldn't want to be caught being (GASP)... prudent, now would we?!? :o :D
By the by... burnt orange is my very favorite color in the whole world!
I am
- updating the large countdown on my white board.
- trying to decide between my three costumes which 2 to pack
- trying to fit whichever 2 costumes I pick with all their flotsam and regular clothes for the rest of the week into one carry on sized piece of luggage(this may drive me 'round the bend)
- stealing all the loose change in the house to go in the booze fund
- dreaming of Chipotle lime chips

Let me know how you manage ... I packed two sets of garb and clothes for a week - assuming I'd be washing some - and it STILL took one huge suitcase and two carry-ons AND a backpack. =)

My biggest issues at the moment consist of hats. My awesome, highly favored hat may have to sit this one out. And trying to decide what will make it past security. I'm worried about the mugs. I have 2 of those vacuum bags for stuff too.
Wear the hat. ;D
Security might look askance at some things, but as long as it's not liquid, cream, etc., you can usually get it through. I've taken flowers, and food, and all sorts of faire things. I take out my pewter mug and but it on top of my shoes through the screening, mostly because I got tired of unpacking it.
Just trying to decide which route to take from here to there. While the TSA is on duty, I will not fly anymore, so we'll be driving out to Castle Rock. That also give me plenty of room to bring whatever we want to bring.
I ran a 5K race today, in the rain, to work on my cardio!!!
don't forget the double tap
