Haha, we have:
Road trip route sort of, kind of planned - check, but we have 2 days to get there so even if we get lost we should get there in time!
Hotel reservations - check
Banner - moved to "gear central" so we won't forget it
Kilts CLEANED - dangit! Gotta do that, and my goodness but they have quite the coating of Scarby dust on them! [What IS it about Scarby dirt? It is almost as bad as a permanent marker!]
PS - any Dallasites travelling by air that need a safe courier service for weaponry or other things you don't want TSA to fuss with, send me a PM. We are happy to transport for you and I assure you we're honest and will be careful with your goodies!
Still need a rental car when we arrive...
...and to sort out what to wear (that's a forever ongoing issue, right?)
But mentally I'm DEFINITELY ready to get out there for some fun!

Hats Trish, hats. You need lots of big floofy fancy hats, like MG! And by trial and experimentation we can help you with what to do with your hat all day! :D
Still trying to decide final route too, Lady Kett. We're planning on a hotel stop Thursday night. Haven't decided where, but better make up my mind, because I'm seeing a lot of hotels booked up!

*giggle* She's messin' with you, Ms Trish! ;D ;)
Ah, the humble hat. Or the not so humble hat.
To wear such a piece be it tall or small,
sets one apart from those with none at all.
Flat caps are fetching, in a casual way.
A bi-color jester hat inspires people to play.
Snoods and falls cleverly cover your hair.
Cavaliers and pirate tricorns make a commanding pair.
Feathers, yes brightly colored plumes, those are for me.
The more the merrier, to make a hat truly MG!!
Well done, MG! *clap clap*
And Lady Kett - I will be bringing my hat, but make no promises about how often or how long it shall be perched upon my head!
Yes more hats for this pirate to steal yum
Lady Kett - you are passing by and picking us up- correct? We are packed and ready

Hotel for night on the road out: Booked
Hotel in Castle Rock: Booked
Hotel for night on the road back: NOT Booked...better decide where you want to stop on return trip!
Tickets for faire: In hand.
Budget for paying all this off: To be determined...
I was just in the Walsenburg area over the weekend, camping. It is a 12 hr drive (including stops) for us to get to Colorado Springs. Just a few more weeks!
Oh MY! Three weeks from this moment we should be in our hotel room getting cleaned up after the day's travel, and preparing to meet and greet! This is coming up so quickly!
15 days, 13 hours, 8 minutes and some random seconds...SQUEEEEEE!

Lady Kett... "Squeeee" always makes me smile. ;D
In other news... stop counting down!! My garb's not ready yet!!!
MG just wear your pirate outfit.....that seems to be a crowd pleaser

Wear the same outfit to a distant faire... ??? I don't understand.
I wear repeats of outfits at my own faire, but not as a guest at another faire. Besides, all of my current garb is too big. ;)
That's the best kind of problem to have ... ;D
You can imagine how very little sympathy she's received on this "problem!"

That is quite SQUEEEEEE-worthy right there MG!
13 days, 4 hours and 19 minutes to go!
7 days, 17 hours, 21 minutes to go to opening cannon!
Rennie Math drops that down to 5 days (we hit the road Thursday so it and Friday don't count!!!)
I like that... We're heading out bright and early Thursday morning as well, aiming for Hays, Kansas. That will leave us a short trip on Friday so we won't be too worn out for the MnG Friday night. Getting more excited by the hour! This time next week, we'll be relaxing in the hotel room, maybe even having a Jack `n' Coke.
Yup, 5 days for us as well ;) We're leaving Thursday AM, stopping in Amarillo, which is not quite half-way, but close enough. Gonna start packing tomorrow! ;D
It is 3 days, 19 hours, 15 minutes, 44 seconds until Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 10:00:00 AM (Larkspurshire time)
Rennie math cuts 2 days off (as per Lady Kett)

Our festivating (yes, it's a word. Just don't look it up.) starts when we head to the airport. 3:30am, Friday. Ugh. We'll need a power snooze before the Meet-N-Greet.
We shall be leaving our castle about 6 am Thursday morning—that allows us to sleep in, believe it or not. We're going to do about 2/3 of the trip that day, then a shorter drive on Friday, so we shant be so tired for the MnG.
Still not sure if it's worth going to bed Thursday night! Whose bright idea was it to schedule a flight around O'dark 30???
Only 1 day left before we pack up and hit the road! We drive to Amarillo tomorrow (not quite half-way, but a good stopping point), then on to Castle Rock Friday!
we are headed out in 3 hours -no wait, 2 hr 59 min 34 sec, no wait . . .
Launch from castle in T-minus 10 hours 47 minutes
The Silver Bullet launches off the rails in T-minus 10 hours 42 minutes!
Unfortunately, I have to cancel my trip for this weekend... :'(
Last message before we leave for Colorado..... yaHOO!
That is all.
Boarding pass printed! This time tomorrow, I'll be Colorado bound!

It was fabulous. Kinda makes me wish I could have gone in solid pirate costume...like the little boy in line ahead of us. My mom and I wore our pirate bandanas and acquired new pirates hats! I also got the (pi)rate mug - because I'm a math geek. :)
We have arrived. HOLY FRIGGIN COW !
OK...Castle Rock.... just got added to my list of possible retirement cities.
This place is beautiful!
We went to old town this evening and dropped $120 on one of the finest dinners I've had in a while.
Very nice!

Cant wait to meet everyone on Saturday
Friday morning in Hays, and a chilly 93. I had no idea Kansas was hotter that Texas!
Anyway, see most of you this evening! HUZZAH!

...that might have been the one we saw in Kansas...
...almost ZERO...
