Title: Medieval Recipes!
Post by: insidiousraven on August 23, 2011, 08:22:24 PM
Don't know if this has been shared before, but I stumbled across it on Reddit and thought it needed to be posted here.  There are some delicious looking ones in there!

I'm thinking of making this one soon:

Ditto for me. There are a lot of good recipes here! The strawberries recipe you mentioned sounds really good!

I seem to remember a recipe thread or two from some time ago.  They had a lot of personal recipes, too.

I like that they also include the textual excerpt along with dates and sources. It's interesting reading the recipes in an old tongue.

"and let the said master be advised not to put to much in of anything, but have a temperate and sure hand in putting in that which it seems to him is necessary."
A lengthy way of saying 'season to taste'.   :D
