i was just on maps.google.com and checking out the faire. looks like the most recent shot is taken in winter as some of the trees are without leaves. it's cool to zoom around and look at it from the top down. i never knew what it looked like behind the walls.
If you don't already know, there is also "official" webcams of the grounds on the Dragon's Quest website. You have to register, but once you do you can access a whole bunch of them! I love checking in on them on my days off, just to see what is going on around there, and to psych myself up for the next faireyear!
According to his Lordship, aerial and satellite phtography that is published is taken in winter on purpose. This is so that foliage does not interfere with the view of items on the ground. I spend a lot of time on google earth looking for castles, but I still find it amazing how different things look from above rather than from the ground.
