Hey! Call out to all Texan Discworld Fans:
How would you like to have another chance to wear your fantastic Discworld costume without going overseas or waiting two years? Well we'd love to see you!
We're bringing back Discworld at Ren Fest day! This is one day at the Texas Renaissance Festival in Magnolia where we all go out in full regalia and hang out. Some show owners even got in on the game dressing up special for that weekend. Last year the guard made an appearance and we had a blast with patrons of the festival at large running up to us to let us know about unlicensed thievery ect...
This year we would love to see even more people! We're talking about organizing a photo shoot, a find the feegle game (With Snuff as the grand prize!) and perhaps having the witches come out and heckle the actors. (He ain't dead! I can see him breathing!).
If you can make it please join our group and help us pick the best day and things to do! If you can't make it come join our group anyhow and help us come up with fun Discworld nonsense to unleash upon the general population.

CRIVENS!!! Love me some feegles! ;D Sounds like that could be fun!
Of course... I miss ALL the fun stuff! Sounds like great fun, though!!!
That would be so cool.
I would love to see that. But we're only making one weekend this year. But I love discworld. We just watched "Going Postal" this last weekend.
You could have a contest for things designed by Bloody Stupid Johnson, and made by faire goers. Don't forget to have C.M.O.T. Dibbler selling yummy things to eat, or suitable souvenirs! How I wish I could be there!! :'(
For those that don't know what Discworld is:
Discworld is a comic fantasy book series by English author Sir Terry Pratchett, set on the Discworld, a flat world balanced on the backs of four elephants which, in turn, stand on the back of a giant turtle, Great A'Tuin. The books frequently parody, or at least take inspiration from, J. R. R. Tolkien, Robert E. Howard, H. P. Lovecraft and William Shakespeare, as well as mythology, folklore and fairy tales, often using them for satirical parallels with current cultural, political and scientific issues.

Didn't you read my post a month or two ago on Facebook, saying that there's a condominium for lease in the building where I rent one here in Houston? ;) 8)
I'm probably further south than you'd like to live (near NASA, rather than TRF), but at least I know this one is for lease. :D
Uhhh, yeah... further south by about 1100 miles!!! ::) :D
What is it you people don't get about the fact that I would MELT down there?!? [facepalm/headdesk/repeat]
Rani, thats what AC is for! Trust me, I would melt to without it....
I know, but I cant just live inside completely for five months out of the year, and that's the only way I would survive the summer and late spring/early fall down there... :-/

But, with all your friends down here, you could melt while having sooo much fun... ;) :o
Unfortunately, I would just be miserable, and stuck inside, while everyone else was out having fun...
... and who would bring me food during that 5 months??? Because I damn sure wouldn't be going outside!!! :o
I own every book. Love Disc World.
DID I MISS A DATE ON THE POST? WHEN IS THIS HAPPENING?
(a la death)
I don't think the date is set yet.
The coordinators are working on Discworld time. Be patient.
