Title: Laser show
Post by: Fenster on October 10, 2011, 01:03:11 PM
Was anyone else disappointed with the laser light show?  When the lasers hit the trees around the Sea Devil it looked very cool, so we headed up the hill to check it out.  The color never changed from green and there was no change in the pattern of the lights either.  They just replaced the fireworks with some green lasers. We left before it was over and saw many others doing the same.  I'll take the kids to see it once, but if it doesn't improve that will be the last time.

They need to bring in some dancers or fire breathers/jugglers or something along those lines. It was really lacking for me.  I know they had to change plans late in the game, but I hope they make some changes for this coming weekend.

Oh, I completely agree.  I was really let down by the show.  At first, I had my hopes up because they had the fire whip guy and they lit the TRF on fire again.  I thought they might incorporate more fire down on the field of the arena while the lasers happened.  It was a real missed opportunity when they decided not to.  I thought it was amusing, because at the last Tartanic show outside the gates, they asked how everyone enjoyed the new show.  Much to their somewhat surprise, everyone started booing and complaining and yelling for the fireworks to be back.  i understand why we couldn't have our magnificent fireworks, but TRF is better than some green lights moving up and down.

I heard this was a beta weekend. What disappointed me is that they didn't tell ANYONE in the middle to look at the trees behind them... and then people were staring into the arena... then figured out that it was on the trees. I was on the far left and thought I was missing something in the smoke... I was later told that what i saw on the trees was what I was supposed to be seeing. Well... more color would be nice. I think they will figure it out... it is still a pretty cool idea but there is nothing quite like fireworks.

Indeed. Things that go *boom* are always more fun! :D

I was one of the people that left early. I agree that they should have used more colors and patterns, but that even then the fireworks would be more satisfying. Thank God it rained so maybe we can have sparky stuff in the near future! :D

That is, hoping that TRF doesn't mind breaking a contract to have a new show after dark. ;D hehehe

Thanks for the feedback.  We are trying to add more color, a few ground fireworks and excitement to the show.  We see what you see and will improve it over time.

I haven't mentioned it before but your presence on these forums means a lot to us. It helps to know that the ones running the show are paying attention.

We all want Pyromaster back blowing stuff up but realize the realities of the situation. Lasers will do until the Fireworks are back.

*Rum toast to you Terre for listening to us little folks! And a hopeful return rum toast to Pyromaster because we like booms!*

One of the arena floor fire shows that would be awesome to see again is the Barbarian fire sword show!
While I am a self proclaimed barbar groupie, it still was fun to watch!

I think the theme weekend group should be able to get out there and do a fire show. You know, cause nothing's more Transylvanian than SETTING THINGS ON FIRE!

Hhhmmm Blue and fire aren't exactly the safest mix lol!  I can imagine several people would duck and run for cover.... Probably a good thing you haven't received a green light on that one!! :-X  ;D

As long as you don't let the Transylvanians have any fire.  You know the kind of trouble they like getting into.   ;)
