This isn't renaissance related, but it sure was a project, so I thought I'd share. It's a big reason why I've been even less chatty than usual the last few months.
Four months ago we purchased a foreclosure home here in Orlando. It needed work. Over the last four months I've:
Removed over 1600 sq ft. of tile (with a demolition hammer)
Removed 800+ sq ft of carpet
Gutted the kitchen
Gutted everything else: master bath, closets, laundry room...
Resurfaced the concrete slab
Installed a stained concrete floor throughout
New kitchen cabinets
Granite counter-tops
New bathroom vanities and granite counter-tops
Painted everything... sometimes twice.
New floor moulding and chair rails
New faucets, toliets, sinks, plumbing
Ok.. well... truth is this list will get much too long. It was a complete start over.

Thank you guys for the kind words, and Merlin, after this weekend is over JD is the least that bar will need. We are in the process of actually moving in to the new place.
I picked up the U-Haul truck this morning and have been loading ALL day. I don't know when I managed to collect so much crap, but I want to go back to a time beforehand and smack some sense in to myself.
I'll be offline for a day or so while I get the office at the new place organised, so if I don't reply immediately please don't be offended.
